True, but what I meant was Dexter oculd improve on the technology, making it less impractical than before.

You also have to take into consideration that Dexter isn't a real person and that he does whatever Bleedman and Genndy tells him to do. Now considering that, you have to realize that Bleedman maybe didn't know about cloning organs, or just doesn't care for the idea of cloning at all.
I guess so...then how did he get the organs?
