CHALLENGE I - RESULTS!

[center]FIRST PLACE: AoiNoKitsune!
For her entry: Save Our Server!
Judge's comments: Yeah, AoiNoKitsune definitely swooped out of NOWHERE to catch up the win. She is a newb to the forum, but definitely no newb to art. Judging by her gallery, comics and the level of art and colouring weren't outside her habitual means, but she definitely definitinely didn't cough this up in her sleep! Comics of this calibre take a LOT of work, and she clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the art and story. The concept was very creative. She was not the only submitter to think of setting her piece in 'the aftermath' of the ultimate showdown, but she was definitely the only one to incorporate the site server in the comic. Well done, AoiNoKitsune!!

SECOND PLACE: Aneri!
For her entry: Ultimate Chess!
Judge's comments: I gave Aneri this honour because I felt she really got the *point* of the challenge. She really pushed herself in creativity and stretching beyond her own means. She's not kidding when she says this is her first Photoshop (and I must say, for a first time I am very much impressed!) This is also the only group picture in her gallery, and the composition is very complex, incorporating some really neat poses, and great perspective. Not to mention, she snagged the concept of the challenge being chess right out from underneath me, so I gotta give her props. Well done, Aneri!!

THIRD PLACE: 3 way tie! MaddKaze, Aeris and Keeper!
MaddKaze for: the Street Brawl, Aeris for The Court, and Keeper for Unity!
Judge's comments: Ok, so a three-way-tie for third is a *total* cop out, I will admit that But there were so many entries, and I honestly could not decide between these three!

MaddKaze gets this spot for being one of the few who I felt really did the literal interpretation of the theme justice. Really neat perspective and poses for these guys, but Megas is what stole the show in this piece. Megas and the PPG/RRB/Bell streaks in the sky bring this piece together really nicely.

Aeris is the other who gets this spot for really challenging herself! Having Wasted Talent in the piece definitely appealed to my ego (lol) but that definitely wasn't the only reason! I thought the inclusion of quite a few other webcomics that have Snafu ties was a really cool idea, as was the idea of a 'courtroom' set for the showdown. Though I don't really understand what the trial is about XD She also chose an image that would be a challenge for her, the perspective and amount of characters is not something that she typically undertakes.

Keeper gets props for really stretching the theme. There was a lot of combat in the entries so seeing a piece of unity was *so* refreshing! A pretty well-executed piece, as well, I liked the colours The ultimate showdown will be sticking together

Basically, a picture or comic of people in a real world istuation, dispalying properties or traits of internet users.

i.e. someone just holding up signs with pictures instead of talking or something like that.
