yes i had some fine motor skill problems in the past that might explain the the lines looking like my hands are shaking. and i will try to use fast strokes more. Thanks for the comment Glahardt.

Thanks for the comment PPGD Fan.
and frostmork i will remeber to put the lightsource in a corner i also did that in some other drawings. But in this one i had trouble figuring out how the light from a corner would effect Bass his helmet.

I would say that you're biggest problem is the lines. With solider lines, the shades you have now probably wouldn't look so bad even though they could use a touch(The cloak is shaded well, the helmet shades mostly.

Are you using photoshop? I can point you to some good lineart/coloring tutorials.

Other than that, I like that picture. Bass' helmet is hard to draw from straight on. ^__^b

http://www.deviantart.com/view/15100583/

Very good tips on coloring and lineart.

For this next one, I suggest you stick with lineart and not try the pen tool untill you have had some practice, trust me. This one has good tips on the blur/smuge/burn/dodge tools.

Now her art style is different from yours, but don't let that scare you away, there are some very good tips in there.

Although i find the image good, i can't decipher the direction of the light you base to shade the pic...

Still, is a lot better than things i could make, good job ^^

only thing I'd say needs work is hand control. You have the a grasp of look, but what looks like an unsteady hand.
that'll come with time though :P

Just a little tip: I used to have 'shaky hands syndrome' like that. I now use lots of little fast strokes, and it works well. Just give it a try.
