Gah.... I was up BEFORE 7 am this morning. I actually went to bed BEFORE midnight last night (which hasn't happened in, well, I can't even remember when....).

*sigh*

I have a class on the other side of campus at 8:30 am, that goes until 11. It's gonna be very cold this early in the morning in the middle of winter.... (It was snowing in Dallas yesterday....)
Then I have a class down the street from 11-12.
Then I have another class down the other street from 12:30-2.
arrrg......

Then nap time...or...rather.... find all my books and get my dance shoes time.....
Then nap time. At least I don't have class tomorrow until 12:30 mmm yeah....

Have I mentioned that I hate school lately? Well, I do... I really really do....

More good news on the job front, my friend Heather happens to be friends with the daughter of the HR Manager for Uniroyal (a huge company) so it looks like I may be back in the office sooner than expected. At least long enough to get the rest of the $5,000 I need for Police Academy.

ooo good luck to yah Nix. by the way Kris It's been a week of school and I still dont' have my books for my two most important classes Clac 3 and Chem so yeah saying I'm screwed is a small understatement.

Dave, man, I just spent 200 bucks on books, and I think I still have a couple more for one more class to get. I had to get two books for history, 2 books and a play for my performance class, my costume textbook, and I still gotta get whatever I need for theatre history. Oh, and some dance shoes for my jazz class.

But, good news!
I now only have one class on Friday from 11-12 which makes me very very happy. Because the teachers of my other two MWF classes teach elsewhere and have other things to do, they canceled Friday classes. Peformance got an extra half hour added in the morning, and Jazz was just totally cancelled on Friday except for the last Friday of every month for special class project things.
Plus the teacher kinda felt bad for us, b/c the class is from 12:30-2, but it's only a one credit hour class.

My g/f works 12 hour days for slightly more than minimum wage so that she can pay for University. Top that and you can complain.

At least you get to sit down, she spends the whole time on her feet except for her 30 minute unpaid break where she can sit in one of the 3 chairs her store has.

Back when I had school, 3 days a week I started at 8:00AM and went till 4:00PM and 2 days a week I started at 8:00AM and went till 9:00PM.

Plus I was working 40-50 hours a week then, so keep in mind I would go straight to work AFTER that. Most days I would get home at like 2:00AM for sleep until 7:00AM. It was killing me, mercifully though, school ended and I could work a full time job without having to go to school too.

It sucked ass alright, but Jesus, Ed, I'd rather have unneccessary surgery than try to keep up with you.

erg.... alright... my schedule's gonna be as follows....

My schedule this semester will (roughly) be as follows:

Monday/Wednesday:
8:30-10:50 am - Performance II
11-11:50 - US History from 1865 (*gags, grumbles, curses, pouts, etc*)
12-12:30 - lunch/rush to Stovall/change for dance
12:30-1:50 - Jazz (which is a flippin 1 credit hour class...fuck you Dance Department)
2-3:30 (which I will discuss with my teacher to try and change to 2:30-4 so I can have a break to get something to eat or something) - Costume Lab

Tuesday:
12:30-1:50 - Costume
2-3:30 - Theatre History
4-5 - Voice Departmental
5-6 - Voice Studio

Thursday:
11-12 - Voice Lessons
12:30-3:20 the same as Tuesday

Friday:
11-11:50 - US History....
Then I'm sooo outta here and off to Irving if at all possible

Throw in a full week plus a weekend (or two) of Costume Crew for one of the mainstage productions here at the school, a voice recital in March, mock juries in April, and trying to maintain some sort of a life...
And I tell ya, just reading the syllibi for my classes has exhausted me.
I've got projects out the ass that I'll have to get done, and more plays to read than I have room to put them.
Two papers for theatre history, 3 or 4 papers/projects for Jazz, plus a choreographed performance, and I have to make a pillow for costume, a handwork sampler, sewing machine sampler, plus make a piece of a costume I design myself, do a design project for a costume, quizes in costume and theatre history every week, costume critiques for every show (and there's like...gah.. 6?)...blah blah blah....
It probably doesn't seem too bad, but it's ~way~ more than I've ever had to do before.....

I hate the theatre department.... I want it to hurt...really really bad... .
