I found this pretty funny personally. I mean, sucks to be the people who worked to set up a funeral service for the guy, but really, they should have had the foresight to post guards or something.

I guess they thought no one would dare interrupt such an important event.

The probably announced it on the forums.
And it was held on PVP Server.In an area where people can constantly pvp.Basicly, it smelled of nothing but Alliance Rape.

Still hilarious though.I especially like the part,

They should have had guards. I mean, level 60;s would have been glad to defend a funeral. For a price...

I guess that they just felt that people would respect the funeral enough not to do anything.

Hilarious. Sometimes people forget that WoW is still just a videogame and take things too personally.

The only problem was that the guy who died, died in real life, not in game.

But still, if you loved the game enough to be honored by fellow players with a funeral, you should respect the opportunity that the guild struck on. Seriosuly, perfect set up.

A guy died for real? That does make it seem more evil.

That's the problem with worshipping the god of schemes. You never quite know whether or not you're being divinely blessed, screwed over royally, or both at the same time.

Yeah... The guy died in real life, they posted about it on some board, inviting people to come to pay their respects.

Serenity Now (Guild) decides to fuck them over.

After they kill everyone including the seriously dead person's character (they took special care in that one apparently), they went off to the forums and started saying shit like the person deserved to die and everything. Pretty much dissing the dead guy and everyone who went.

And just recently, Serenity Now had one member lose their mother to cancer.

You can understand what everyone began saying in the forums then.

If they truely cared about him, they would have done something more personal than hold a funeral in the game, like gather together to write cards or contribute money to a funeral decoration to send to his family. Paying respect to him in the game only invites this kind of foolishness and trivializes his memory. It's their fault and I don't blame Serenity Now. I don't want to sound callous, but they should have predicted this turn of events.

Learning Kanji is like trying to memorize a cartoon, how to draw it, what the caption is, and what the caption MEANS. and most of the time there's more than one caption.

Now this is where I think they went too far. Not to sound uncaring or anything, but I honestly believe that, after a while, the funeral thing would be relatively forgettable compared to utterly blasting the guy afterwards.

Wow, internet drama!

It's a videogame and nerds. Of course they're going to do something like this, it's what most RPers play the game for. And of course the gankers are going to show, it's the perfect opportunity. I find nothing odd about anything that happened. PvEers/RPers will always be crybabies, and PvPers will always be assholes, that's how the world works.

Since I hate WoW, it basically took my cousin's social life away and I got pissed when he left school activities to play this game all day, I would have no problem if it was a fake funeral. But it was such a sweet gesture for a poor girl who died and the people who ruined it were just plain awful, I don't think it's right that their one of their mothers died but hopefully they'll learn that treating people with respect online and offline is important because if you don't, it'll come back and get you. May both the person's mother and the funeral girl rest in peace.
