Great work, as always.

I've actually seen a few your friend's Korra and Teen Titan art before. Popular ships have a way of finding lots of art!

@Sigment: Well, alright then. If you're ever interested, here's a link to the subbed version. I recommend the sub over the dub in this case because, well...the dubbed voice acting really doesn't do it justice. But yeah, so there you go. =u=

@Tenshi: Lol, I couldn't fathom a guess as to who you mean... =u= Anyway, thanks. And lol, I really wouldn't be surprised. She's a decently well-known artist, so her art gets around here and there.

@Ari: Lol, well, glad to have your approval, Ari. xDD

But yeah...I met her about a year and a half ago, I think? She does art and a comic for our college magazine and news website. The funniest thing is, I came across her art on deviantART (this one in particular) before I came across her in person in the newsroom, where I went to help out with editing articles and all. Never had such a coincidence like that happen before. Really is a small world, isn't it? XD

Something new and drawn at the last minute, woo!

Image

Today, March 10th, is the birthday of one of my characters. You probably recognize him--he's been hanging around in my avatar for the past two or three years I've been here, lol.

Just thought I should draw something to celebrate his birthday. Still trying to get the hang of drawing digitally, so...yeah. =u=; Also experimented a bit with the style...mostly because of said trying to get a hang of drawing digital art, so lol.

Great job Hiroko! I like the way your OC was created, very cute! Keep up the great work.
As I saw the creature, I was as white as an egg. I was so scared I might crack from fear. As the humanoid began to lunge after me, I was walking on egg shells from how scared I was. It grabbed me, took me to its station, and cracked me open. The last thing I saw were my yellow insides cooked on a pan. Human nature is as evil as a rotten egg.

Wellllll, lately bday art is the only thing I'm guaranteed to make a year, for at least two or three of my favorite characters, so lol. =u=;

Whoa. That's quite a collection of some really awesome stuff. I like the lino prints.

And your life drawings are really good. I like how you render the fine details pretty well with the medium you have at hand. I like how in Nude Model 3 instead of making a line to define an edge for the shoulder, you used white charcoal (I think?) to create an edge.

Thanks, Ruxan!

And yeah, that would be white charcoal used. I think at the time we were barely learning how to use both black and white charcoal in our drawings (the previous drawings were either pure conte or pure black charcoal). The substitute at the time was the one to tell us to use the white charcoal to do that and all.

I love your pastel painting here. Don't get me wrong, everything looks great, but that one is definitely my favorite of the bunch. So very pretty =u=

Thanks, Cerulean! c: I had a surprisingly amount of fun with the pastels...at least, up until I had to struggle to "erase" stuff to fix details, pfft. But it certainly was a colorful medium to work with.

Just went through your collection, they're all really good, I especially like your life drawing collection. Particularly the nude drawing in pastel, love the colours and shading on that one ^^

Ahhh, thanks! Sorry for the late response, must've forgotten to respond. >.<;;;

Anyways...it's past midnight now, so it is officially a friend of mine's birthday. And for her birthday, I drew her a picture of Satsuki Kiryuin from Kill la Kill.

That's an interesting style that you did with the face. Is that from KLK? I dunno since I haven't watched it myself. Anyway, nice job on this, Hiroko. Looks great.
