Nope. This is new to me.

Well, I'm pretty sure a weapon change would be obvious since it's set in a dystopian future.

What does that have to do with the fact that gamers make death threats over a guns firing rate being changed in a fucking game?

I can't believe its that big of a issue to threaten to kill someone over.

They're not thinking.

The game is in the future.

Weapons changing due to alterations in the passage of time = totally legit.

That's what people don't understand and that's why they're raving about it.

Who gives a fuck about whatever bullshit explanation you're giving, if they're fictional future weapons there's no realism to break because the guns don't exist and even if they do exist the damage and firerate is always guesstimation at best. So that allows the makers to do whatever the fuck they want, so cut it with the devil's advocate bullshit and make a legitimate point next time or shut the fuck up.

To me, the more routine saying something becomes then the less sincere it is. It's like the fast food worker who wishes you a nice day, they don't care how the rest of your day goes it's just part of their script or they're in the habit of saying it automatically to everyone even if it wasn't.

Responses can be over used to the point where they are just automatically said without any real thought and or feeling in them.

I have no idea how to make what Sentios said any simpler than that.

*shakes head*

@Sentios

Were you referring to something one of us said or something a developer said?

He's referring to the way that gamers jump to threats of violence so quickly.

Game communities vary in many ways, so its a bad to generalize all gamers as violent. For example, I like to distinguish differences in the halo community and the bungie, community. The halo community is vast, and can be annoying, but all of the content you can find in file share can be amazing. The Bungie community is a more mature community, and are actually aware and play bungie's older games such as marathon or myth. While in halo, you can find awesome maps that you don't find in paid dlc. The marathon community practically make games on their own, and spend years to make such scenarios. Just look atthis website where the hub of the community is strong.

Ok, I may have gotten carried away with blabbing about marathon, but the point is, that there are nice gamers, rude gamers, violent gamers, social gamers, and anti-social gamers. I wouldn't assume the videogame industry is violent in general.
