I showed my brother and sister Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and it turns out that they really like it.

Worst part is, that they won't stop watching it on netflix during our visit in Long Island. Even when I want to watch something else like Star Trek, but its way better than having to stand adventure time. A blessing and a curse. But more of a blessing.

You don't like Adventure Time?

Also, anyone gotten into WataMote by chance? Because by god it's as hard to watch as Attack on Titan sometimes.

I read the manga, so...I just can't bring myself to watch the anime.

It is...It is rough.

Not Attack on Titan rough, different kind of rough, but still.

Attack on Titan is OH GOD WHY?! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! rough and "No matter how I look at it, It's not my fault I'm not popular" is OH GOD WHY DOES MY LIFE SUCK?! THIS LOSER IS MEEEEE! rough. I have not seen the anime of either but Watamote is still harder for me to watch.

I don't really find it too hard :p
I think the last time I found an anime hard to watch was Mirai Nikki, in terms of fucked up.

With WataMote, I guess it takes a certain person to have it hard to watch/read. Personally, I relate to it too much from my younger days sometimes I have to actually skip a scene.

For me...it's just so much cringing and pity.

I personally relate to a lot of the bits about social anxiety and all. Like muttering quietly to teachers and cashiers (and basically other adults in general, really), or stressing about activities where I have to be in a group with people I don't know or are not even the barest of acquaintances with. Or having to stress about trying not to break down crying in front of people because I'm so stressed, and doing a pretty bad job of it at that and feeling awkward and dumb. :x

So for me, it's really painful to watch the bits I can relate to. It's also painful to watch the bits that I don't, since those are usually really cringe worthy, what with the dumb things she says and does and how desperate she gets...;;;

I get the feeling that there are a lot of people here who can relate to her. If you know what I mean.

Mirai Nikki? I loved that anime. The final episode was probably one of the most emotional endings I have ever seen.

It is. The character in specific is Makoto Naegi, the protagonist of the first game and the current anime adaptation that's airing now.

But it's so good you want to keep living to get more out of it. Double edged sword animes are the best. A lot of those out there at the moment.

Ooooohhh... yeah, SnK is tough.
You start to like a character, then they die.
I'm like "NOOOOOO NOT HER!!!!"
As I saw the creature, I was as white as an egg. I was so scared I might crack from fear. As the humanoid began to lunge after me, I was walking on egg shells from how scared I was. It grabbed me, took me to its station, and cracked me open. The last thing I saw were my yellow insides cooked on a pan. Human nature is as evil as a rotten egg.

I have not seen the anime but I have read the manga. It is a lot of fun watching people's reactions to something I knew was coming for over a year.

Oh, SnK = Attack on Titan. Right. I didn't know people still pronounce it that way. Seems kinda pointless.

Why's that?
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."
