Correct, but slightly wrong.
No one was with the Arl. No one took command of him and his forces, without them everything will fall apart. No one made the move to get the Arl. He was in a different room then you guys were in.
Now yes, the tunnel team was suppose to go through the tunnels and get out while escorting the Arl out. The Courtyard team would hold the Darkspawn back until everyone left and then they would leave. Somehow that changed.
Now both teams are combined again. The Arl will come out as soon as the armored ogre is dead, which I would like more than one person to take it down. thing is suppose to be a beast in this. Once the Ogre is down, they will proceed out of the castle and into the tunnels. Some action might occur or might not. From there they will fall back to Lothering or Ostagar and we will resume our normal "forge your own path" direction that I like. More quests will open up as well as the availability to "level" your character up as well as unique rewards from the Arl for helping. Should he remain alive that is.
I'm probably going to let character level ups happen at the end of every quest completed.
I do apologize for confusion that is occurring at this point in time. It is a bit chaotic, more so than I anticipated. I prefer RPs to be where you make your own way from point A to B, but this one had to have that modified a little bit to limit that freedom in this case. I will make sure that better planning is done. So to start off, here is the plan thus far.
1: Round up survivors. Great chance for you guys to get some NPCs. Like a unit of troops or archers or something. I had some Silver Order members in the area at one point in time and they are expert in fighting the Darkspawn. I can't remember if they are dead or not.
2: Grab the Arl. Seriously, he dies and the game goes from Heroic to Mythic in trying to defeat the Teryn. Should he die, you loose the Fereldin army unless you get a King established or take hold of the other Teryn-lands.
3: Eliminate the Ogre. The escape route is located in that area. The big guy has to go down before you can pop the entrance open and leave. I am guessing the tunnel team was heading over in that direction and ran into the ogre at the same time the courtyard team did.
4: GTFO. That ogre goes down, its going to become instant hell on earth. Literally.
5: Regroup and plan. Simple, once out, rest, heal, regroup, seek vengeance.
Objections, comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome. I'm serious. Got an idea of something you want to do PM me because this is as much my RP as it is yours. I even take objections and issues you are having at the moment. But that is what I was thinking in a basic plan. Didn't start out like that, but its where we are at for the moment. I want to return to you guys forging along and me countering your actions as the story moves along. Right now its the other way around, which isn't a problem, just a different way that I roll, clearly.
