Just one small correction, Vegedus.
Vegedus wrote: The CG really is the main (only?) bad thing about the new ovas.

They aren't OVAs, the movies have theatrical releases in Japan (and in Russia), which is kind of a mixed blessing. They have a far bigger budget than an OVA would, but it also means that once a single movie doesn't perform decently at the box office, the whole series might get scrapped. That's why I'm pretty skeptical about them adapting the whole manga released so far, even though I know they said it's their intention.

Berserk's cult status among manga readers in Japan is largely based around the Golden Age arc, so we shall see how movies beyond that arc will perform.

Oh yeah. I knew that. I think, maybe. Past tense knew.

Doubly no. I don't care about dubs and SAO was crushingly mediocre, bordering on just bad.

So I'm considering making an RP/setting up an idea, possible ideas I have are: A Noir/Victorian/Golden era Superhero RP, a Noir style supernatural detective agency RP or The Bureau (New Xcom universe game) RP. Whichever gets most interest I'll expand upon it and make an actual idea submission.

THANK YOU!! Fuck, everyone I talk to drools over that shit.

K, had to get that out my system, going back to my hole now.

Oh and Bel, I read up to the 3rd page of Code Angel, I'm sorry, but...it is awful...it's like reading a preteen's wish to be part of a world and just be the boss in it, the characters don't really stick to their original personalities, and the dude seems so full of himself. If it gets any better, mind telling where it does, cause honestly, I can't see it going anywhere, nor can I believe that people were actually able to force themselves to read the entire thing.

Chill dawg, this is the weirdness after all.

I don't really understand "Noir/Victorian/Golden era" means, or if any of those fit together, but it seems the most interesting.

I like your idea, but without any defining details, what can I say?
I was just overwhelmed by the mutual distaste of a certain anime, and remembered that I also disliked something else that was offered to me.

That post was filled with hate, my response to yours will be filled with love and compassion, especially since you have Franky's glory all over.

I am hankering for some steam punk though.
Stufflikehearts - He is a Sith Lord. I love Blood Lord :3
Jeffffey - Blood, you look at the information someone says, look over what really happened, and reply in a way that makes them realize what they were really thinking.
Light10s - Blood Lord! Your avatars are becoming more epic. You make me feel like getting on all fours and submitting my loyalty and obedience to you.
Fievel - Numerous campaigns and conquests, countless bodies decaying after the abandonment of victorious battlefields. Such is the life of Blood Lord.
Dusk_Imp - Blood Lord is like a celebrity here. Everything he does is pure awesome. ALL HAIL BLOOD LORD
Doctress Who - Why couldn't there be a Blood Lord in every forum? It would make life so much easier.

I like SAO for the badass fights and the cute anime girls!

It does improve when Xaber makes the portable scanners but I don't remember where that is. Then there's the whole apocalypse at the end.

SAO, Badass fight scenes? Cute anime girls? How much anime have you seen?

Xaber makes them? huh, sorry but the last shred of interest I had in it died. The author basically puts himself in the world and wants to be the best in it.

There's like, 2 or 3. Only one I really liked in 24 episodes. They have an odd habit of skipping past the fights. I think more than half the episodes don't have any real fights. Most of the time is spent on people talking about their MMO predicaments.
and the cute anime girls!

Ugh. I just like to keep my anime and porn separate. Well, okay, that's not entirely true, but I prefer fan-service to waif-u!/harem pandering. Fan-service doesn't actually affect the plot, whereas something like SAO revolves around sexual wish-fulfillment for the male readers.

I'm not angry nor frustrated I'm just stating that the amount of derailment in this place is getting a little crazy, too much time in the new comics and Bleed section seems to be causing this. As for the whole superhero stuff with the slashes I meant that it could be any of those individual eras of superheroes; Noir being the gritty grimy era of gangsters, murderers with superheroes that match, no spandex, no robots just heroes with relative dark powers much like the Watchmen, Victorian is exactly what it says on the tin and Golden is very much the retro style of heroes back in the comics peak eras of the 60/70's.

I thought this was just a general chat, where we talk about whatever we want, I was warned that if people weren't interested that they wouldn't reply.

Suppose you're right but you being new (Yes new in that you joined within this year and less that 1000 posts) I'd imagine you'd have something to say about it, rather than just stopping in for the topic/subject that everyone here seems to hate.

I randomly do both, depends on my mood and time of day, which I assume would go for many others. Also, I time will come and pass, the post count can only go up if I join in randomly.

There's a difference between 'joining in randomly' and 'contributing' though I suppose you're past the first hurdle with actually delving further into the place than those who remain in the pen of ignorance that is 'Comic Updates and News'.

But this shit is detracting from what I originally intended to be a intelligent discussion of something that could be interesting and new since the stuff back in June.

Out of all of those, I think I like the sound of the Noir style detective agency the best, but I'd prefer to play the XCOM RP... I dont think the detective one would work very well.

Right, okay, so it's basically three different settings right there. I guess the noir sounds the most interesting. Golden age sounds kinda interesting to me too, but that's probably because I only associate it with deconstructions.

And the ironic thing about your post is that you "derailed" my topic (SAO), then posted aggressively on someone replying to that thing. Not that I mind you changed the topic, Tenshi post was just not unexpected nor bad.

I dunno why I did that, guess I was in a mood of sorts but I have no fucking clue really. As for the ideas, the Noir supernatural detective agency is the most loose idea right now but I have some sort of process for the others with Golden being the best thought out since I've done similar so often that I can create stuff on the fly pretty well.
