Here, here... But I spoiled myself by reading up on the manga, so I already know whats going to happen in the next few episodes

Interesting plot twists though

I've just started. It's pretty fucking good. I'm surprised how dedicated to it's setting's horribleness it is, despite being a shounen. The titans are just horribly OP. And the music and animation really contributes to that epic feeling.

Looks interesting, but I'm already dedicated to watching To Aru Kagaku No Railgun, because in the last few episodes just took a turn from a typical slice of life + superpowers straight into a gruesome Elfen Lied level of serious.

I might read the manga though.

I started watching Railgun, but never got far. It was always a group thing, a bunch of us guys getting together to watch stuff fresh from Japan. But that stopped and never finished it.

As for Attack on Titan. I was in it for the potatoes.

I read the manga, though I'm not entirely up to date. I'm gonna avoid the anime for now, because the manga is far from over and I suspect the anime will get it's own original ending, and those usually suck. Shoulld I hear the season ended with everything left open, I'll give it a watch.

You're like 3 years behind, mate. Have you watched the 1st season of To Aru Majutsu No Index? Cause Railgun takes place in between the two seasons of Index, and Index, especially it's 2nd season, is generally considered more "serious" than Railgun.

I am aware there are series before and after. But I didn't know them when I came across this one and since I started watching it I try to keep it orderly and I'm leaving watching of the other series for once I'm done.

Same reason why I'm putting off reading the Game of Thrones until after I'm done watching the TV series.

...

The main character's team number is 34...

I wonder why Tumblr hasn't exploded about this fact? Bet 4chan has.

Wow, that was a stupid comment. I can't believe I actually thought that was decent to bring up. Sorry, I was already half asleep and was pushing myself to finish all the episodes when I said that. Stayed up way later than I should have.

But yeah, this anime likes to fuck with you. Hope and despair really like to go back and forth drastically.

Just watched the 10th episode.

It's the weirdest thing... Despite the extreme emotions expressed in this series, I feel like it's made the idea of what emotion is a lot simpler to me. I think that's a good thing. I've been needing to make things simpler as of late...

on saturn's moon titan methane behaves exactly as water does here. there are lakes of liquid methane and methane rain and methane snow and liquid methane is like liquid nitrogen in how it affects things like you and me

plus we fart it

so it rains farts on titan

Man, this show is so fucking good. It reminds me a lot of when I was a young, bright eyes teen and had just started watching Naruto. Like, it's not hugely complex or anything, it's just really honest and powerful in it's emotions. And the soundtrack really brings it home. I mean, listen to this shit!

When they're actually getting things done, the show is great. Action is amazing. Story is interesting enough.

It's when they flash back every five seconds and keep repeating the same thing fifty times over that we heard last episode that it gets slow.

Shit just got real, if no one's caught up from the "doom gloom" aspects of 1-6, better watch 7-21.

So I've finally started getting up-to-date with Attack on Titan. Wow... this is one awesome anime. Very emotional, action-y, and... just, wow.
Wonder when the english dub will come out.
