It's not relevant anymore, its non-canon status has basically turned it into a fan fiction story written by Bleedman.

Basically we can't put it in the forums. What about private messages? Is that okay? Or are there mods monitoring our messages too? Just a harmless question.

hmm. thought it was fine now since it was rendered non-canon already.

anyways, in case you didnt see the link and still want it, just look up grim tales in tv tropes(im assuming this is fine to say, since im not linking this time).

I never quite understood what was the whole problem with GT afterbirth that made it non canon aside from it being leaked onto the internet.

There's really no cross with these comics but, if someone was confused about this they would to think of it as marvel and DC terms to which there are many different universes, and millions of different timelines. So pretty much anything is possible.

I know they're not tied together. As a matter of fact, BR has said Samurai Jack's story in PPGD, will be the thing that proves this. But I simply wonder what made Bleed change his mind about the two comics being the same (whatever it was, I'm very thankful it happened. I would have hated to see PPGD end in ruin).

It was griddles who wanted to merge both comics but Dave, Bleedman, and Beeare said no.
It would risk following development all for nothing if it were to merge that way.
Which i am glad Griddless isn't a writer for Grim Tales anymore.
Besides other reasons i known about.

I still would like to see the thing that proves PPGD is separate from GT. Makes me feel more secure for some reason.

Because the people writing it say it is....?

Feel free to PM beeare if you want confirmation because I feel like it's been brought up and confirmed in a recent thread but I don't remember which one :P

I know they are separate. BeeAre says theres going to be a story involving jack that will separate PPGD from GT. I just would feel a bit more secure to see it happen.

I would like to see it happen so people who think the two are one would know otherwise. It's a very easy assumption to make because the two do reference each other even before the future of Megaville thing.

CrimsonCreed wrote:do any of you think that if any one of us made a fan fiction and bleedman wanted to turn it into a comic nobody would have a real big issue with it right?

You might have an issue with it, but no one would have an issue with that.

CrimsonCreed wrote:i mean it's not like the stuff we come up with is copyrighted or anything regarding lawyers becoming involved... is it?

You have to get your stuff copyrighted, from what I've seen. It doesn't automatically get copyrighted. DA does deal with art theft though. So If you posted something, and then someone else copies it and uploads the same thing or the same thing with a few adjustments, then they can get nailed for it.

I mean the process you are talking about is how GT was created. Bleedman was inspired by someone else to create it. Literally borrowed the idea of the Grim Family from them. I remember seeing the original piece of art that was used, but I can't recall where.

not much interesting stuff yet though, so anyone interested in making please do!(I believe askura said she had some ideas/interest in making ones).

This story is about a human tennage gir

This is why I don't read most fan fictions. Grammar and spelling errors bug me.

yeah sadly most of them.

but there's also some great gems just hidden around there.
I use tv tropes to find the good ones:

as they say, sturgeons law. 90% are trash, but the remaining 10% are worth dying for.

Yours is one of the few exceptions, but that one is just terrible. Why the fuck am I going to read a GT fanfiction on a human "tennage gir". I like Gir as much as the next person, but not enough to consider putting him into a fanfiction of Grim Tales.

That's terrible.

It's actually pretty rare for me to look into a fanfic. Mostly because I'm afraid of reading something that I can't "unread".
However, I feel pretty safe reading fanfics on this website, mostly because I feel this website in particular is well regulated (that's not to say I've never ventured outside snafu). But when I do find a good fanfic, I usually really enjoy it.

So it was Bleed, Dave, and BeeAre? When I was looking through the old posts in the GT pages, I saw someone had asked Grids if GT and PPGD were related, and he said something along the lines of "Why does it matter if they're the same timeline or not? This takes place in the future, like 20 years or so".

I'm so glad GT isn't the future of PPGD. It would have completely ruined PPGD for me.

Blood Lord wrote:I would like to see it happen so people who think the two are one would know otherwise. It's a very easy assumption to make because the two do reference each other even before the future of Megaville thing.

I've only been here five months, and the task of having to tell people the two aren't the same timeline, is already getting to me. It's irritating as balls. Hell Blood, you've been here for what, five years? I don't how you've managed to keep your sanity over having to tell people this over and over again.

I believe he has probably been around even longer. I started checking out this site five years ago under a different and horrible screen name and he was already here and active in the community. As a matter of fact, I don't think Blood Lord has ever not been here. I'm pretty sure he's some immortal being that does this to pass the time.

The timeline thing is fairly new, so it sort of still irritates me. The "Who is Jr's father" questions/threads are the ones that I hate the most. You grow numb to it after a while and just accept the ignorance of others. Or you have a meltdown like I did... a few times.

Damn, five years this September.

We are Legion.

I was extremely lucky. I was active, posted a lot, and was quickly accepted by the community and some how gained their trust and respect. It could be the amusing way I rip people...

I agree.

The difficult time I have with most of the fanfics though, besides the shit-ass attempt at grammar and spelling, is the "main character". The writers would often incorporate some "near perfect" person who has a mysterious dark past, a mean attitude, and sounds like they are from Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy as Cloud's bastard offspring. But the worst part is that they weave this shit stain story together that's half Naurto and half Die Hard with Dante's Inferno sprinkled upon its freckled ass cheeks, and the only thing that is remotely there that resembles GT or PpGD are the main characters who are now side characters.

There is no development, all attention is given to a dork who sounds like his hair got stuck in a mix and has the personality of a wooden board, and its a big cluster fuck.
