I'm guessing three things:
1) Aku will be there with Chi when they meet Him.
2) Since Aku is retired, he left a his affairs to Chi, so she's in charge.
3) Aku hates Him, and doesn't know he's coming. In other words, Chi's been associating with Him behind her father's back.

Hopefully, Aku's/Chi's army will consist of samurai and/or ninjas (especially ninjas). Maybe well get to see the Shadowkhan from Jackie Chan Adventures.

That's an excellent question. I have no idea. He hasn't been on since Monday.

I'd say #1 is the most likely. Based on what we have seen of her reactions in this panel, I'm not sure Chi possesed the requisite maturity and restraint to run a place as big as Aku city alone. or at least, run it in the manner that it appears to be running, that is, efficiently with no outward signs of trouble (unless she only acts like this in private, and has a much more controlled public face). And if #3 was the case, I'm not sure Him would want to be announced or even appear at the tower. At the moment we don't know if Demongo is Chi's personal servant or something along the lines of a minster (and actually the way he is speaking leans towards the latter, if he was Chi's personal servant and complicit in her clandestine meetings, I doubt he'd bother with the titles, he'd just say "Him is here" (that sentence really makes my grammar cells cringe :) ) So presumaby EVERYONE in the tower knows Him is visiting.

Sounds good, though they'd probably need all the groups of Shadowkhan (the "regular" ones, and all those variants the other demon masks make. But it's probably just ninja, after his experiances with Jack, I'm not sure Aku (and even if Chi is in control, the army is probably much the same in composition as it was in Aku's day, He would have been the one to put it together) would want much truck with samurai.

I usually imagine Minne with a bit of an old New England accent, since the way she speaks (all those Thee's Thou's and Thy's) reminds me of all the old movies I have seen with Puritans in them.

Hm...

So we have Minnie, who is the younger half-sister of Grim Junior, whom she secretly (or not so secretly) lusts after.

Then we have Chi, who may or may not be the half-sister of Mimi, whom she secretly (or not so secretly) lusts after.

Junior seems to have a bit of a crush on Mimi, but has also toyed with Minnie's emotions a bit ("I'll let you sleep in my bed tonight...")

This is a train wreck waiting to happen. In a good way.

Seeing how all of this unfolds, will be "interesting" to say the least.

I always imagine Minnie sounding like Maka, from Soul Eater, I also imagine Olga sounding like her. After all Olga's old voice just doesn't suit her character.

MAKA.

MAKA FROM SOUL EATER.

THATS THE VOICE I IMAGINED FOR CHI. YES.

That kind of high pissed-off big sister voice. Yes.

Junior- hnm, I'm thinking a more shota voice for him then Soul. Maybe Black*Starish.

A tad lower then Timmy Turner. Y'know. for reasons....

I can't think of a discribtion for Minnie. let's go with a high-toned Tsubaki using the thee thou thy speech tic.

I always heard Tara Strong for Minnie. Not Bubbles, more Ilana from Sym-bionic Titan or Verbina from Samurai Jack. A princess character, very clear and pristine but also young and feminine. And of course I do assign a bit of an English accent to her too.

For Junior I just hear Timmy Turner, or a voice like his. Fitting that he is also voiced by Tara It's the hair and blue eyes and "generic shota protagonist" thing that does it for me.

The best way I can describe how I hear Chi's voice is Blossom (Catherine Cavadini). Confident, proud, a little whiny, yet still completely adorable. Then when her text goes loud and scary-looking during her "fit" I imagine Blossom with an Aku-like edge, just this demonic roar from the depths of her stomach mutating her usually cute voice.

A *** monster loli, eh? I think I should start reading this comic more actively again.

Also, to adress something from two pages ago, wasn't Grims castle originally called Castle Evergrim?

I leave for a few days and already mass amounts of fuckery have occurred, like this. What the fuck is with bleedman and part sibling incest? Anyways, lets move to other things that irritate me less.

The "relationship" between Chi and Mimi seems to be very one sided at this point. There is no input from Mimi and Chi's personality seems to be obsessive, self-centered, and demanding. No doubt that Aku spoiled his child. This causes me to believe that the relationship is blown out of proportion by Chi. I'm reminded of the relationship between Leina and Elina from Queen's Blade. (Godawful anime imho).

Bandit wrote:Chi reminds me of Midna, from "twilight princess".

Hmm, yes.

In the relationship of voice, I picture Minda's for Chi.

depending on the next couple of pages i might actually have a good foundation to introduce a fan based character into the mix. I have no intention of actually bringing out a new character into bleedman's story but this is just one of my little projects to mess around with for fans of this comic. I'm already working on the character's back story, powers, and origins with some help by BirdofTerror. If you'd like to take a look at what i have so far, feel free to PM me and drop some suggestions or praise or just whatever :D

But i do ask if your gonna be a hater about my ideas don't even bother PM'ing me because i will just ignore and block you, I am serious about this project and have no appetite for losers who can't have some fan fun with creativity.

Nice. Sounds like a great way to take a break.

In other news, Chi's character does seem very Aku-ish. I'm actually rather glad at her self-centered seemingly delusional personality, if only because it gives her character flaws that match her environment and the fact that she has been raised by Aku. If the predictions are correct and Chi does make her way to the Grim's, either violently or no, I wonder how her arrogant personality is going to cope with Mimi no longer being the strong, red, devil-girl she is so used to.

If Chi does make her way to the Grim's, knowing her arrogant personality, we could very well see Chi and Mandy get into a fight because Mandy doesn't like arrogant brat's and knowing Chi she's going to be one when she gets there

Chi and Mandy would probably clash, but I think it would be pretty verbal. Chi seems like someone who gets people to do things for her, rather than fight for herself.

I can see Chi calling Mandy, and demanding that she hands over Mimi. If so, Mandy will probably say something along the lines of, "The bitch broke in to my castle, she's my possession now, fuck off."

Aku was the same way, this could be a case of "like father, like daughter". I can definitely see Chi sending her own private army to Grimskull, or she might hire a bounty hunter/mercenary to deal with this. But the thing is, the only reason Aku sent bounty hunters after Jack, was because Jack possessed the only thing in the world, that could actually hurt/kill him. So keeping his distances was the best option.

Well seeing as we still do not have a full account on who's alive and who's dead we have to consider the possibility that maybe (and this is just my wild assumption) Jack is possessed and is somewhere in Aku City and that he is Chi's personal bodyguard.

We really don't know who's dead, and who's alive at this point (those not 100% confirmed). Even if they are dead, it's not the end of them.
As for the Jack thing, I seriously doubt it. If Aku did get a hold of Jack, he'd probably just straight up kill him.
But if Jack is dead, this begs the question; where did his sword end up? Because this could potentially play an important part in the story.

This was something brought up in the previous thread for this comic, but first I'd just like to say that I completely understand that PPGD and GT are two entirely different comics. I am in no way trying to connect the two when I make the following statement.

I am referring to Chi's eyes when I make this statement. Someone mentioned in the previous thread that her eyes looked very familiar. I kept thinking about whether or not I've seen them in any cartoons, but the closest I was coming was the Sharingan/Mangekyou Sharingan in Naruto. Today, after skimming PPGD, I noticed that Sam's eyes in the page "Assess for Success" look very similar to Chi's eyes. Not exact, but similar enough to bring up. So I was thinking that maybe the eyes are just a stylistic choice?

Either that or perhaps they are a reference to time based powers, since her eyes are shaped like the gears of a clock.

I wouldn't put it beyond Mandy's ability to get her hands on it. She has many powerful weapons in the the vault.

It looks like Sam's eyes were just styled like that to example techology-y-y-yness.

But I keep staring at Chi's eyes and trying to figure out what they're supposed to be. I was convinced maybe I forgot that Aku or something Samurai-Jacky had them, but now I just don't know.

They might just be styled like that to remind us she's not entirely human. Or something..

Technically she's a demon-puff hybrid. XD

As for the subject of Jack's sword, I feel like it won't be brought up. Or maybe Mandy already has it. Meh.
