Oh, was not aware of this. Guess we're not getting a prequel like it then. Everyone would know how it goes.

@ Tony: Yes. Yes indeed. That moment freaked me and my friend the fuck out. He was all "Fuck, I have to fight them, don't I?" It was just a wonderful touch. Especially in that room that had the dress stands that would try to confuse you. They did horror right.

And it wasn't even a horror game. Just goes to show. I guess it's how you do juxtaposition right.

Wait, it wasn't? Really? I always assumed it was titled as a horror/shooter. Huh.

It says Bioshock is "a first-person shooter survival horror video game".

It's called that, but that wasn't the idea the team had. It's like so many other games that we can't classify so we just called them Action/Adventure. It's not really a shooter (although there's plenty of that), it's not really a horror nor is it an RPG. You shouldn't classify a games genera based on the mechanics it uses. Does having Zombies in it classify Call of Duty as a horror game.

Sure it has it's scary moments, but they are pretty few and far between. It's more akin to the Action/Adventure crowd like Shadow of the Colossus or Killer 7, only with a bunch of other elements.

It's really harder to categorize a bunch of games nowadays. But right now I'm looking for a good straight up horror title to pique my interest. Or at least a game that does horror well that might not be horror like Bioshock does. Anything new out that fits the bill, guys?

I can only think of older games that fit the title, and to be honest, I don't think any of them are really horror-class games.

Amnesia: The Dark Decent, Silent Hill, a free PC game called SCP: Containment Breach, etc etc.

I was watching Cr1TiKaL's gameplay commentary of Amnesia: The Dark Decent. It was funny.

Everyone I voted for survived, which I am glad about. Also glad that Umbrella, Venus, Annie, and Molly made it.

I'm a little surprised that Leduc didn't make it past the first round, though.

I'm disappointed about that, too. :c Poor Leduc...

Still, at least my other choices made it. I'm surprised that even Umbrella made it to the second round. Here I thought that everyone else had basically forgotten about her in favor of all the other, more interesting characters available--I guess I wasn't alone in the sentiment, then. o-o

I thought Leduc would've been one of the more popular characters. Apparently that's not the case. Also didn't really expect Stanley to make it through the first round, but I guess more people think sharks are awesome than I originally thought. Wonder who will make it through the next round.

Ok time for another shot of life into this thread.

So the second round of Skullgirls voting came and went a few days ago, anyone know who's gonna make it this time?

They'll post the results later tonight. I'd be very surprised if Minette, Feng, and Beowulf didn't make it, though.

Guess what? I was surprised.

The survivors of round 2 are Annie, Stanley, Eliza, Minette, Beowulf, Panzerfaust, Isaac, and Aeon. I honestly thought Feng would make it to the the third round. But hey, Stanley made it, and that's pretty cool.

Yep. This round's results were somewhat surprising. Umbrella and Marie didn't make it. Neither did Feng or Molly. Now I just gotta hope that Aeon doesn't make it to the next round. Everyone else I'm more or less fine with.

GO BEOWULF AND STANLEY!

Well just voted on the remaining 8. If Marie's out then I'm Stanley all the way.

Yes. We must do everything we can to ensure the survival of Stanley, who is obviously the best choice (aside from Beowulf).

Thought I'd post that so people can see who's left without having to read anything.

Minette's still got me. I'm not doubting Isaac will be one of the two on top, but sadly I prefer fish women over shark men.
