A day of chaos

Postby Yog » Sun Apr 14, 2013 3:27 am

I was thinking of this earlier, and seeing as the forum needs something to lighten it up, I had an idea for a topic.

Imagine a day where all laws, all rules, all codes of conduct were erased. The repercussions of any actions that happen on this day would not carry on to the day after.

What would you do?

The most dangerous questions are the most stimulating, in my experience.

But I see what you mean.

Hrm.

I guess whoever answers should be wary of what to say.

Isn't this the plot of an upcoming film?

I can't think of anything I would honestly want to do that doesn't involve breaking the laws of physics (i.e. I'd want to watch the Earth from space or from the Moon, but I won't magically be out on a rocket in that one day). So I suppose that's a good thing, even if it's a boring answer.

I've had the luxury of a comfortable life to be able to define the way I want to live thus far into my existence. I guess that means I'm already living your day of chaos. I don't care that the repercussions wouldn't exist. Presumably they still would in my mind, and that's what would matter.

Most actions people do, they do having no idea what the repercussions will be, or they never even get to know what the repercussions of their actions are. So we already regularly live this chaotic day, even if in isolated events, and a lot of people still find that what matters most is that they acted righteously even when it didn't matter.

If I couldn't do it right now, in this world of repercussions, I couldn't do it then, because the greatest repercussions will always be in my mind, not in the physical world.

I would [REDACTED] with [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]!

Also, I would [REDACTED] [REDACTED].

Oh, and I would procure vast amounts of money through illegal and amoral means.

I guess I could answer too, in order to show a way to do so.

Personally, I would take advantage of that and literally cross borders trying to take everything back to my house. I.E. bypass stupid customs, bypass border checks, bla.

NeoWarrior7 wrote:Isn't this the plot of an upcoming film?

Really?

Wait a sec.

Maybe I could've watched the trailer somewhere, and it wormed its way into my subconscious.

@EM

You just answered my question in a way that I didn't even think of.

I guess I would fly around and shit, defying the laws of physics.

Kill everyone who pissed me off in anyway on that day
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Heh.

That reminds me of God Bless America.

I forgot, I would also have a massive bake in, say, a mall store. Everyone 18 and over invited. Kids are typically idiots with weed.

That's no fun then, the laws of death don't apply

Not quite what I thought, but certain principles are the same, I suppose. Misunderstood the trailer a bit.

I never considered death a law.

It's more a result.

So go nuts.

I got another one.

I would burn Fred Phelps's home, and all buildings associated with the Westboro Baptist Church.

Ditto with Scientology.

However, no murder for me. Those building would be empty of people, in my ideal day.

What's the point then, they'd just move to a new place and keep preaching

FOR FUN, DAMN IT.

Besides, I'd get their stuff.

And Fred Phelps would probably get murdered by like a hundred other people before me or you.

If a day like this happened, anyway.

This.

And then fly across the universe, passing through exploding stars, contacting lifeforms impossibly far away. Then I'd go back through time, watching all of history unfold in an answer. I would delve into the heart of reality, finding the answer for everything, from the tiniest particle, to the reason behind the big bang.

Because if the laws of physics don't apply, nothing is impossible.

You guys are strange.

Well anyway, I would simply go back in time and goto events I've always wanted to do in my lifetime I either missed/didn't have the chance to go to. It would be my time traveling bucket list.

Oh, and the movie's called The Purge.
