You can vote for three characters in the first round of voting. Also, the speed of contributions seems to have increased.

Holy. 6 grand in less than an hour. If this keeps up, I'll have hope for Mane 6.

Holy shit it has. Glad I was wrong, they'll hit the mark in no time at all.

I'll vote for Isaac, Samson and Marie. Something tells me they will all get past the first round.

Marie probably will. Pretty sure she's popular in Japan. Isaac has Mike Z's seal of approval so he has a better chance than others probably do. Not sure what Samson's chances are, but I'm betting he'll make it past the first round.

I have to admit, Isaac's idea for his combat style is pretty interesting. It's new and edgy. Kinda like suing a teleport and a projectile all in one.

I dunno. Suing a teleport and a projectile sounds like it'd be very different than what Isaac does.

Probably not wording it right. It's been a while since I've been a part of the fighting community.

Yeah. Definitely not wording it right. Mostly because you said suing instead of using. I know what you meant, though.

Bad use of words on the internet is like slandering allah in the middle of a mosque. As I know. It's weird that out of all fopas, you can get burnt at the stake for that. I guess it's a rebellion against the constant text and short hand atrocities committed against english.

Oh and the skullgirls fundraiser is almost $15,000 away from the story mark, but in saying that, the Xbox still needs that 1.01 update.

It's actually 12.5K away at the moment. The patch is certainly overdue at this point, though. I wonder when they'll be able to finally release it.

It seems weird to compared to the rest of the funding champagne, the last stretch seems like a slow crawl and now money is poring in. Do you think it's cause people who weren't too sure if it would hit the 600,000 mark are throwing their lot in now, or do they really want the story and stage add-ons? Well whatever the money is going to help someone who is going to use it to make something worth our while, not at all like that con artist Anita Sarkeesian.

Well, in order to vote for a character, you have to contribute, so I'm guessing all the donations are coming in now because they finally met the goal for the third character, meaning we are now capable of voting for the third character. So basically, yeah, they were probably uncertain.

I believe it is meant to be. I saw that on Facebook a few days ago and can't stop laughing at it.

Been seeing more and more of that adorably creepy bear.

I had to look up this "Anita Sarkeesian". Remember last week watching a couple videos videos parodying her or pointing out her flawed ideals about women in games. That and learned she's not all too keen on letting people show if they approve of her message or not on youtube, turning off comments and ratings.

That kickstarted of hers... How? Why? I'm just... people actually gave her that much money?

The world is an amazing place, full of amazingly stupid people. She not only gives feminists a bad name, but she's also the new face of feminism, and she doesn't even do her bloody homework.

Those Skullgirls fans sure raised a lot of money today. It's kinda making me hype for the game again, especially now that three characters are confirmed for development. Kinda sad that the momentum from the first day didn't hold very long, but at least they managed to get three characters funded. I suppose if the momentum from today continues, those Mane6 guys might still have a shot at getting the game's engine, but I kinda doubt they'll reach that goal.

Funny, I've actually seen that picture recently, only edited with an image of a character named Monobear/Monokuma in the bear's place. o-o

Given the context of the game Monobear's from, it still fits...;

Anyway...I'm kinda doubtful at this point that they'll make the money for Mane6 to use the engine before the campaign ends, but I'd like to at least be hopeful that they have some small chance. It certainly helps that the funding is picking up speed again now that things are going down to the wire.

I'm still not entirely sure who I'd like to see win that third DLC character slot. There's a handful of characters whose designs I really like, or whose fighting styles might be interesting to see. On design alone, I really adore Minette and Leduc, I'd love to see more of them, at least.

Well, I believe they raised 90K on the first day of the campaign, so if something like that happens again, it'll easily be met. Really, though, it just depends on how much people are spreading the word.

Hiroko wrote:or whose fighting styles might be interesting to see.

Mike Z is doing a pretty good job of keeping things interesting from a gameplay standpoint, what with Isaac, Brain Drain, and Adam's unique mechanics (also Squigly).

Hiroko wrote:On design alone, I really adore Minette and Leduc, I'd love to see more of them, at least.

Mike Z really likes Iron Tager, who Leduc is supposed to play like, and Minette does seem to be a pretty popular choice. Even if they don't win the 3rd character slot, I personally doubt that we won't see them as DLC somewhere down the line.

Just another 300 dollars now until the goal is reached.

After that... it's only a guess if people are willing to dish out more.
