Name Change Request Thread

This forum can be a scary place, 'cause we got lax rules: let's see your war face. Take a breath, and roll the dice, you might find out we're really nice.

Mr. Sefrol wrote:A good username is something that can roll off the tongue, is witty, simple, or a combination of those... Is that name any of that? Think about it a while. Give it some deep thought. Because it doesn't seem like you have if you're still doubting it.

A good username is one that makes you feel that it describes you well and fits your style. Trying to name yourself with something that others will like rather than what you will like is just sad.

I'm reading "Mr. Sefrol's" post and thinking how to pronounce this not witty or simple name right now.

You pick a name, ya stick to it. It's why I gots what I got and that ain't changin'.

I thought I'd never change mine but then I felt like Lily didn't fit anymore. I think I'm good now though, sticking with this one.

It doesn't hurt to change a username up a bit. Of course an older name is going to stick with everyone more often. You'll still be that one name everyone knew you as. It's comfortable. It's what they're used to calling you.

Looking back at my last comment, those things could be considered just things to work off of. But Q.U. is right. Something you feel comfortable with and you can relate to is something a name should be. Otherwise it won't feel right (Like Riz just mentioned). The name you're thinking over is a bit too much, Soul. Sounds more like you're giving yourself a title than a name.

There, now.
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."
