CN hasn't had a really big animated hit SINCE the original PPG (why else do you think they run Johnny Test 50 times a week?), so of course they reboot their one major hit. I sense a network in dire need of creative direction.

Now about the topic, this design looks interesting to me. I don't think this will be the final design, but I hope it's something like this. I think the animation might end up looking like 'The Amazing World of Gumball', which I like very much. Also, there's just way too much of the preteen/teen action, anime like shows out there; including anime itself of course. That stuff is fun and all, but I sometimes want to see some simple, colorful, girl, ass kicking show; something that's been lacking lately. I don't think I'm the only one either, we all saw how successful that one pastel color pallet show became.

My only worry is that they'll dumb the show down and it'll become a self parody, referencing itself for laughs.

i think they did it wrong, you see a reboot (per tradition) is to be worse in every way to the original EXCEPT graphics... this is inarguably worse than the original, like by a lot.

I also love how we should "pray" that the new guys "realize what they're ruining", because god knows there aren't more important things to be worried about than a possibly mediocre special for a 15 year old cartoon.

Anyhow I'll watch it for old times sake, not too fond of CG in tv cartoons, but Green Lantern TAS has won me over, so maybe this'll too. The premise sounds like an episode of PPG from season 5 onwards though, which was when the original show started to be pretty bad.
