I don't think animators are mentioned specifically, but I feel it is implied with artists; if you read the comments, we are looking for animators as well.

Okay, so... I just had the single worst comic reading experience I have EVER had, and feel justified further in having sworn off anything belonging to the Apple Corporation. The rant below might offend, and to be sure I've spoilered it in keeping it away from eyes not wanting to read it.

   Decided I liked IDW's comic so much I'd actually PAY for it this time, but since itunes is the only option available immediately, I disobeyed my usual oath to never open itunes and bought the comic.

Instantly I was perplexed, as the download went through, but I found no obvious way to open it once finished.

I figured I was just a newbie to Apple crap, so I looked up how to read it online.

And then the madness set in.

APPARENTLY, Apple is a bigger whore for proprietary hardware and software than Nintendo on its worst day, and despite being allowed to download the thing, Ebooks bought over itunes can ONLY be accessed on mobile Apple devices!

And I don't just mean on anything with an Apple OS, I mean even the fucking Apple computers can't read Ebooks!

What the fuck is THIS shit?! WHY?! What possible purpose does this serve other than to overwhelmingly handcuff Apple consumers to their shit!? And SPECIFIC shit even, not JUST theirs!

Well, turns out there are ways to read the downloaded format, but you can't do it because of the DRM that comes with the Ebook. Not without pulling out some hacked programs that STILL would force you to download the book to an iphone or ipad, so by that point why even fucking BOTHER?!

Never! Never again! Next time, I'll just wait till I can download the universal format that can be read on anything! Apple can take its idiotic specialization and die —via sodomy— with it shoved down its throat!   

Anyway, another great comic, lots of references, including about five brutal and kickass references on the same page.    Kids from The Shining, Pennwise from Stephen King's It, a Deadite from Evil Dead and fucking Mola Rom from Temple of Doom??? Fuck me, that's awesome!    Pretty epic stuff by the end, though everyone pep-talks and does heroic speeches so much it about makes you want to scream.

I'd still say this is the weakest of the bunch, but then I read this after working myself into a lather of my own hatred-made-corporeal. Still, I gotta applaud these guys for making this series so conscious of its adult audience.

Not sure if this belongs here or not, but Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic) released a review of Son of the Mask and he makes more than a few references to MLP: FIM and us Bronies. None of them are made to make fun of us and I think Satin's daughter is a pegasister for the sake of comedy. The part where she's on a live chat with another brony and arguing over who's cuter Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash is kind of funny. Not as funny as the very beginning which I got to admit made me laugh.
I think Doug Walker himself kind of likes the show to, but I'm not sure.
Figured I'd post it here because of the lack of new pony episodes to watch.
