If enough people pre-purchase Bioshock Infinite on Steam, all those people get X-Com for free?

Well, shit, I was going to hold off, but with a deal like that I might HAVE to pre-order.

If I have until March 26th, I can probably take my first or second paycheck and do this, so I just might.
Since I've also wanted X-Com for a while, and Bioshock 1 was mind-blowing good, and 2 was super solid.

Well I was gonna pre-order Bioshock Infinite... but in physical form. Not steam!

Meh, first person games aren't really my thing. Rare exceptions include Borderlands, TF2 and Quake 3.

Hey Neo, I think GreenMan Gaming is making a better offer with a pre-purchase of Bioshock Infinite.

Maybe. Get the original Bioshock from Steam too, and I'd prefer X-Com to any of those, really.

Spec Ops The Line is tempting, though.

Already own Xcom, didn't play on buying Infinite at full price. But a cool offer. Xcom is barely a half year old game, I just got done playing it.

So I hear. I'll buy it the next time it's on sale, promise.

... Huh, I actually already own it. Steam sales, what can you do.

It's a shooter which is a deconstruction of shooters, or something. You know, kinda like Bioshock is a deconstruction of linear games. The standout thing about it is supposed to be the plot.

Spec Ops the Line is what appears to be your run-of-the-mill third person shooter. And it is, but it has such fantastic character development, that the average shooting is completely blown away. It actually had some moment where I was truly going "Well... Shit, now I feel bad"

I think this might be the first shooter that actually makes war look nasty, and for that I applaud it.

They summed it up pretty accurately.

It's a game that'll stay with you for a very long time. One where the strength is it's story, not gameplay.

And it makes fun of a bunch of other things, too. Moral choices, the concept of the heroic protagonist, and minigames in shooters.

Trust me, when you get to a certain scene, you'll be hooked in for the rest of the game.
