A golem would be... limiting. I kept them out of it because of their difficult ability to interact with the things of the world. The only weapons you could have are your fist, upgraded by crystals. Not to mention that you were probably trimmed down like Shale was.

If you can make it interesting to me, go for it, but I advise against it.

BL, I failed to remember asking this earlier, what exactly is the meeting place for Val look like? I was under the impression it was still a big manor.

And I should have mentioned this earlier, but I'll include detail in her post today. Val is going to be meeting at the Redcliffe castle, which has gone through some upgrades. It use to look like this:

The added difference is that since time and prosperity have come to Redcliffe, the Arls of the past upgraded the castle. Its not as flat looking anymore, its taller, more turrets, the bridges are made out of stone, etc. I had this really cool picture for it that I got the idea from, but I can't find it anywhere. This is as close as I can get to convey the idea, but it isn't perfect.

So its like if you fused the two, and had red roofs.

The inside has changed slight as well. It isn't as rough looking but still keeps the idea there. I'll post more as Val goes in. The first meeting is going to talk place in the courtyard. The only change with the courtyard is that it is longer, and the castle is bigger.

Maybe overhear them talking about killing off the new warden commander and replacing her with someone they choose or selling off that blade to the highest bidder. Etc etc.
