I actually understood the "he released himself" bit as Hashirama being as insanely powerful as Madara, but yeah it was probably the cells, since the guy mentions how he knows orochimaru used them to control the second.

Orochimaru owning the 2nd was very cool to see.

Although it looks like Sasuke will get redeemed without much fanfare. Kishimoto's planned ending seems to be Naruto and Hinata and Sasuke and Sakura hooking up, living on, with all nations living peacefully with each other, Naruto being Hokage and Orochimaru sticking around as a quasi-threat to warrant still having Ninjas around. If I predict correctly, that's gonna be some fan-pandering chapters ahead.

I miss One Piece this week, the Doflamingo plot was tons of fun so far.

I'm surprised Oda finally allowed a villain who seems humane and considerate of his followers, while still being a genuine threat and a real criminal.

He's only the 4th One Piece villain I'd consider interesting to read, after Kuro, Crocodile and Blackbeard and for totally different reasons than the other three.

One Piece's number 1 weakness were always the villains for me, most are at a Dick Dastardly level of incompetence with the only difference between them being the laughs. And such writing only works for comedic antagonists like Foxy the Silver Fox who's almost exactly a copy/reference of Dastardly (of course I know that the official inspiration was Count Chocula, but I meant personality-wise).

I saw CC as almost a Doctor Hogback copy with BabyChan being CindryChan, Buffalo being Absalom and Monet being Perona-sama. This is the only downside now to the reveal of Doflamingo's crew.

Does a new one for an ability that already existed grow back once the user dies?

Yeah, if a DF user dies it's power goes to the nearest fruit. That's what happened to that smiley thing that died when it became the poison cloud and it's axolotl ability went to another fruit.
