I succeed in both ensembles and classes. Very few people can tell I have depression before I tell them. I think managed describes it fine.

Being good at hiding it and having it managed aren't the same, in my opinion. When things get bad, you can't cope in a healthy way. I really wish you'd seek some professional support, even if it's so you have a safe outlet to talk things out with in person

Eh, most depressed people aren't out blubbering in public. You couldn't tell most people with depression apart from others on an acquaintance/collegiate level relationship, so using that as a standard isn't really worth much either way.

I find this to be a very nice thread. I may just have to share my own demons whatever they be if I can find any particular.

Personally, I'm very surprised that such a tread exists here. for me, it shows how relaxed everyone has gotten since I left, or that I've never seen this before because the opportunity was never there.

Fresno. Great music program there. UCR is good for sciences if that's what you're interested in, but sucks for everything else really. My brother, who's a graphic designer transferred to APU to finish his degree because UCR wasn't cutting it.

Just two things:

1) My Dad got me and my Mom flowers. Never physically presented them to me, just had them on the table. I never got a chance to say thank you, which I was going to do, and he came down into the basement and started yelling in my face demanding a thank you.

Now my problems with this are that he did this on Valentine's Day, which is day that pretty much "establishes" you get flowers/chocolate/whatever for your wife/kids/girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever example you can think of. I would have appreciated this more if this were on a random day, not today.

And this is where DaCrum comes in, because he seems to think $5 flowers, after months of abuse, is a nice gesture.

2) It may seem like a nice gesture, but it's not. This is a pretty damn good example of someone in an abusive relationship, that thinks flowers is good enough for an apology. This doesn't work for me. It may work with other women, which are the ones who continue to be abused, but it sure as hell doesn't work for me. I'm not accepting anything except for an apology. And that apology better include what he's sorry for. Will I forgive? Eh. I'll pretend that I do. But I sure as hell won't forget, and still moving the hell out of here as soon as I am able.

Maybe I'm being really stubborn, but oh well. I'll take being a stubborn bitch, than taking bullshit from him.
