One of the best pages I've seen in a long time. The dialogue is bloody good, and the expressions are really well done.

Captain Obvious here, but I think Blossom is just trying to make Bell think that she's going to kill Gir, fire an eyebeam in that direction, which will make Bell go over to Gir and swoop/push Gir out of the way, allowing the beam to collide with the bomb and destroy it.

Now whether that plan is actually going to work is another matter.

I'm really pleased that Bleedman didn't do the lazy ass thing and just copy the 4th panel for the last one.

He's something that Bell loves, not something that if he is destroyed- will make her weak.

Quite the opposite. Gir would be a weakness if Blossom managed to, for example: Capture him.

Using him as leverage. But if she 'kills' or maims Gir, it's game over. No Konami code in the universe will save her from that.

From what we've seen, Gir causes Bell quite a lot of emotional distress when he's in danger. That is a weakness. Blossom is using Gir to her advantage, to distract Bell from getting the bomb business done.

Her charged eye lasers make it seem like she wants to zap Gir. She really shouldn't do that.

As for Gir in distress, that's what I was talking about. Last time they fought and she used Gir she held him hostage, allowing her to get a good shot off and make her cry. If she can do that again, that would be fantastic. But zapping him is a no-no.

Okay, this much I already know... I'm not stupid. She is charging her eyes, and she is aiming at Gir. We all know- and they know that this will piss Bell off and/or make her cry. The last time Blossom even 'won' against Bell, she picked Gir up and used him as a shield. But this ended up amounting to nothing and she got kidnapped anyway.

Bell is stronger, and probably faster than Blossom, why would she announce that she is aiming at Gir before actually firing? She will undoubtedly intercept it; sending us back to square one, except this time with Bell pissed off. Having an angry enemy won't make your job any easier.
