All I know about Alicorn Twilight for sure is that according to the episode synopsis she becomes one after doing some stuff with a magic potion that unlocks her potential or whatever.

And I think the shoes may just be a female thing, I can't picture someone like Shining Armor wearing those. Maybe Blue Blood though...

My rule of thumb is, if you think something's funny then just enjoy it. If other people don't find it as funny as you do then whatever. I at least find Patlestia's funny.

To me thought the "Best comment: Nailed it" is funny because I've heard Matt utter that phrase a bunch in inappropriate situations when they're playing games and it fits here in an obvious way.

It's posslble, I just noticed Sombra does(he has those greave things over the front of his legs, but if you look at the backs, it is clear that he has sliver shoes on under them (the top edges are straight, not "hair ragged", so those arent his hooves.) I suppose the real problem is that, as yet, we have seen no canon alicorns who are male.

I'm not expecting to see any male alicorns yet, but I do hope there's like a flashback episode for Celestia and Luna next season. Seeing canon parents for supposed gods would be pretty cool. And a gruff butler being all gruff and junk throughout it would just be the icing on the cake.

   I've seen some suggesting a timeskip theory. Interesting idea, but I don't really see that happening. M.A. Larson has been insisting that becoming an alicorn/princess doesn't mean Twilight can't spend time with her friends. Furthermore, what good does a timeskip do here?

Thought I'd share something with you guys, exclusively.

This is a rendering from a simple teaser-trailer I'm doing for Black Equinox. It depicts the scene of what is essentially my prologue: a sector of the Everfree Forest just before dawn, stars still visible, sunlight licking the clouds red, mist enshrouding the thick trees. All quiet, before the earth begins to shake.

Yeah, kinda a cheap publicity gag, advertising a fanfic with an animated trailer. But hell, when I do something, I go all-out. Never enough just to write, :-)

What you see is entirely 3d. The stars are just a texture, naturally, but however simple they are, everything from the clouds to the trees is physical rendered geometry. My first attempt at a real forest scene, too. The trees are all a set of nine duplicates with varied size, angling and coloration. To fill that forest up, I had to scatter Sixteen-THOUSAND trees over the land, hand-picking the spots I wanted trees and culling places I didn't, like a dry riverbed off-camera.

It's pretty simple geometry wise. The land had a huge 4096x texture, generated with a hand-made displacement map, but is very simply colored. The trees only use flat shaders with no textures at all. I might alter this later, but these renders already take two-and-a-half-minutes per frame at 1080p (which isn't shabby, but it's still a lot of time for video).

By now, textures aside I really only have animated elements left. Like the camera, crows to fly off in the quake. Hot on my mind is the landslide, which will require a bit of model-editing, a (hopefully) simple shatter simulation, followed by a fluid-dynamics simulation of the inevitable dust-plume that will erupt from the landslide. Fun stuff...

I clicked on it out of curiosity. It's got to be the worst written fanfic since Cupcakes. But because it said "narrated by Morgan Freeman," when I read it, it was in Morgan Freeman's voice as if he were actually doing the narration. I think there's a meme out there for that.
