I, as a child of the 90s, still revere Sonic as he was with Mario. The two of them. They in my mind remain the two important icons. I know it's a delusion. I honestly doubt any well known nintendo franchise will ever end, because the people who control them have no love for any of them. The promise of a quick buck is the only thing pushing them forward, not love for the series as it used to be.

I want Ganon to be the main character and we experience his side of the story and get insight onto why his vision of ruling Hyrule would actually be beneficial, and I would want to see him being aware of Majora in some capacity.

OoT Ganon - stabbed in the head in Wind Waker, turned to stone and lost at sea. In Twilight Princess he was stabbed in the chest and the Triforce of Power left him, implying he died.

ALttP Ganon - Blew up and half resurrected in the Oracle games then died again.

Zelda 1 Ganon - Blew up and failed to revive in Zelda 2

Ganon can be a protagonist but never a "good guy" because he is hate incarnate.

Link has to learn practically every fucking game that he's the reincarnation of the hero of the Triforce of Courage, and Zelda is a royal legacy who has implied life as a princess, and then in Windwaker she's Tetra, right?
