Zelda's would be long-running, I grant that, but yeah, I think it does.

And Metroid presumably could be renewed if they, like, introduced a Sidekick Version of Samus to eventually overtake the mantle after like some apocalyptic Space Pirate Super Galaxy War, where Samus is a old lady who can still kick ass, Batman Beyond Bruce Wayne-style, and then pass on Chozo shit to some new girl. But yeah, it could also end.

Mario remains stuck in some sort of monstrous limbo. Which is worse? Perpetual slightly better than mediocrity, or the weird horrid ups and downs of the Sonic Franchise?

I, as a child of the 90s, still revere Sonic as he was with Mario. The two of them. They in my mind remain the two important icons. I know it's a delusion. I know Sonic isn't very into it anymore, despite moments of glory that come after so much shit, and that there have been more regular powerful moments with Mario.

But I saw the Wii-U trailer and they are doing the yarn shit with Yoshi now instead of Kirby.

WHAT IS THIS

WHAT IS MY LIFE

etc.

I honestly doubt any well known nintendo franchise will ever end, because the people who control them have no love for any of them. The promise of a quick buck is the only thing pushing them forward, not love for the series as it used to be.

Nintendo summarizes the problem with the lifelong employment model, all of their young guns have become fixtures and have hogged the lead positions and have left them in a position of not doing anything earth shattering in decades.

Ganondorf reincarnates as well, he's died at least 3 times, same one twice on two different timelines.

i deny that any of those were real death, and that ganondorf maintains the full knowledge of the complete continuity.

Wouldn't it be great if they reincarnated in opposite roles?

I wasn't sure what you meant by Ganon being an ally whether it was to Link or to Zelda.

I want Ganon to be the main character and we experience his side of the story and get insight onto why his vision of ruling Hyrule would actually be beneficial, and I would want to see him being aware of Majora in some capacity.

OoT Ganon - stabbed in the head in Wind Waker, turned to stone and lost at sea. In Twilight Princess he was stabbed in the chest and the Triforce of Power left him, implying he died.

ALttP Ganon - Blew up and half resurrected in the Oracle games then died again.

Zelda 1 Ganon - Blew up and failed to revive in Zelda 2

Ganon can be a protagonist but never a "good guy" because he is hate incarnate.

Doesn't SS count as a reincarnation? It was said that Demise would come back and whatnot.

How about just a zelda game were you play as someone who doesn't wear a green tunic and matching hat.

How would Demise count as a reincarnation if that's where it started?

He cursed the spirit of the Hero and Blood of the Goddess, as his hatred will forever follows them. Ganondorf is that hatred, Demise is forever dead.

do we ever have any indication that he has a life independent of him discovering the Triforce of Power? Ever? Aside from Ocarina of Time, which is supposed to be the first one, isn't it?

Link has to learn practically every fucking game that he's the reincarnation of the hero of the Triforce of Courage, and Zelda is a royal legacy who has implied life as a princess, and then in Windwaker she's Tetra, right? So she has lives and memories separate from simply being reincarnated Wisdom Triforce bearer, yes?

Do we ever

EVER

see Ganon realizing in any games that he is Ganondorf the Seeker of the Triforce of Power? :X

And in Windwaker, turning to stone? that's not death. and in Twilight Princess, he Dies Standing Up, Like A Bad Motherfucker--and how did they convey the total leaving of the Triforce of Power from his system? I mean, it's probably in the dialogue, but how is it visually conveyed?
