Oh, I broke my hand almost a year ago, it's ok now.

But ever since it healed up, it's been weak.

It's not something that's deteriorating, I think.

Worse comes to worse, I'll try for physical therapy, but I really want to see if I can do something else before it comes to that.

You could buy one of those stress toys that you squeeze, maybe that'll make your hand stronger
Have you tried turn it off and on again?

It will never fully heal, from time to time you will feel some pain. I broke my left wrist when I was 10.
But go for the stress toy, those are helpful.

Your hand is probably still weak because you didn't get any physiotherapy to restrengthen the muscles and ligaments.
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

How do you know this?

Not saying I don't believe you, I completely do, I'm just wondering how you knew.

Because I have severed tendons in my hand, and sprained joints, and received physiotherapy for both, and since I was lazy with my physio for my tendons in my hand, some of my fingers are not as strong as they were.

It's one of the basic rules of breaking a bone or muscle/connective tissue damage that at some point you have to do PT to regain strength and control.

It does make sense though.

I remember one of the shards of mirror being stuck in my hand, and it ended up embedded in a muscle before they took it out.

I dunno, I guess I thought it would get back to full strength on it's own.

I've always had fine motor control issues in that hand as well, too.

I guess I should get physical therapy, then.

Damn.

Exactly.

At this point it might be too late, but you can look into it, I guess.

Now, this is theoretical.

I'm not seriously considering this.

Really.

But if I fucked up my hand again, would I be able to fix it up to be better?

Theoretical. Like I said

Not a real option.

No, because you're hand is already weak, you'd probably just cause more atrophy and nerve damage.
