Every night, so far, since I moved in, there has been a sound like someone is knocking on my wall. The other side of my wall is the outside. Can't tell if haunting or if there's some type of animal...

Someone punching a wall with their fists and a woodpecker gently tapping on a wall both make knocking sounds if the wall is made of concrete. I'd vote for animal.
