Eden of the East is an anime series. Actually pretty decent. Plot goes that a group of people are given cell phones with some absurd amount of money on them and a computer program that can control the government. So say you want to "make Obama say he's got a raging hard on because he's gay" word for word, you put it into the phone and it will happen. There were about 6 or 7 people with these phones and they have to fight to the death. One of the main protagonists has one of these phones, but he has no memory and tries to find his memories and save Tokyo.

Of course I'm going off the top of my head so some details may or not be wrong. Good anime though, killed some time for sure.

I'm still the Queen of Dicks

It's a movie made in 1955 loosely based on a novel by John Steinbeck, who is a pretty famous American author. The movie is famous because it's one of the few movies James Dean ever starred in before dying at a young age. He plays Cal, who sees himself as the black sheep of the family and is always competing with his brother Aron, who seems to be perfect in almost every way. Aron is also their father's favorite and Cal desperately wants his father's love and affection. It's the period leading up to America's entry into World War I and these are tumultuous times. After his father loses most of his fortune trying to ship refrigerated lettuce to New York, Cal decides to speculate on a crop of beans and makes a small fortune but he soon realizes that he can't buy his father's loves either. Cal's discovery that his mother is alive - he and Aron were told that she had died - and that she is a high class prostitute. When Cal bring's Aron to see their mom, he winds up running away to join the army since he's distraught. Their dad tries to stop him, but can't and the strain causes him to have a stroke

My mistake, when Tuor said "East of Eden" i assumed he meant Eden of the East, since the names are similar.
