Yeah, I've been noticing in people's messages having random key words through out pages (examples: "phone" and "Now") in the last hour. I even quoted one, and then it vanished. I've seen it before on other sites, but... what is it? And why is it starting to happen here?

It's a text ad program. Some sites use a version to raise revenue, but it can be incorporated into malware. Since I'm not seeing it here, the problem is probably on your end. Check for any unknown extensions or add-ons in your browser (what are you using?). For now, try turning off JavaScript.

I'm using firefox, but it only came up tonight. Has never happened before on Snafu before then.

Okay, turned it off and not seeing anymore so far. Thanks Val. But do you know what causes it to just start happening?

Not the best with computing, but the usual remedy here is for you to go through your add-ons, plug-ins, and programs, and delete whatever seems to be third-party.

I don't quite know what to say if that works.

Could be malware. If you want to keep JavaScript generally active,

Or at least third-party things you haven't put there yourself.

Got around to getting rid of whatever I thought would help. Still didn't work. I don't know what else to take out that I added recently. So it might be a virus...
