Not really. Retro games are excluded from the "graphics are shite" critique because you have to accomodate your critique to the fact that by the time those games were released, technologic limitations forced the games to look like they did, in other words you lower your standards.

But today's games have little excuses for looking like tremendous amounts of crap. Indie games are another exception because most of them don't have enough funding to afford good graphics, but in some cases when you know the developers are bathing in money, you can justify bashing on their sucky art.

Even though this was supposed to be a crappy pun, I think I delved into something unrelatable since this could be more of an inside joke thing. My retro fanatic friend of mine is downright bizarre. He obsesses over the slightest imperfection, missing out on stuff like Minecraft and other low budget/indie titles, yet praise stuff from the golden ages. It also annoys me that he breaks his electronics just to fix them even better... He's never satisfied... It's quite exhausting sometimes.

But he did fix my Sega Genesis, so he's pretty handy...

you should have put it like that in the OP

the way you did it just looks like what people do when they capitalize words because they think it makes the word important

There are NES games that look great, and there are NES games that look like crap, it's the same in every generation.
