Every team during the next offseason will have the option to buyout two players at 2/3 of their remaining contract without it counting against the cap. So bad deals could be eliminated without hurting the cap and also get the teams below next years 64.3 million cap.

So monster contracts on bad players could be wiped out or just guys coming to the end who make too much. Chara is the latter, Dipo is the former. But I'm sure a couple of teams that might not use both would make a trade for a team that has used both to waiver for a decent draft pick, I'm looking at you Brian Burke. Right now, LTIR players aren't eligible to be bought out, darn it Pronger.

So I went to help my girlfriend take their family's tree down to the point, where the firefighters have an annual chipping/burning thing for trees. We get a quarter of the way there, and the twine holding the tree breaks, so I held it onto the roof with one hand the rest of the way. The looks on the firefighters' faces as we pulled up was priceless
