So Megaman is finally 25 years old and being the fan that I am (though in a disposition with Capcom's direction) I figured share all things Megaman in celebration!

I'm in defense for the new DmC actually. They could have called DMC3 just DMC: Dante's Awakening, it totally messed up the order of the games. I'll never know whether or not Dante came back from Hell and see more of Sparda.

The backlash from the fans both of the legends series and all of the other series was of legendary proportions, and it was after all of that that Capcom starting adopting this stance of "oh yeah? well it's our fucking character, look at what other things that you won't like we can do with it".

It seems today's companies would rather set fire to themselves before fucking admitting they were wrong and apologizing.

Yes, I remember that you could kill a boss in one hit with it too. While we're talking about fun facts about Megaman, I thought I'd share this one with everyone. Zero (his character design) was going to be the new design for Megaman in Megaman x. But Capcom thought the new look was to drastic, and feared that it would up set the fans. So they created X, and made him look more like the traditional Megaman.

It was more than that actually. They did intend for Zero to be the new Megaman, but rather than scrap the character in favor of keeping a similar model to the old games, they made Zero into a character that the player would want to be. As the game progresses, Megaman will look more and more like Zero with each boss kill.

also i liked that in mmx3 you can get zero's Z-Saber. In jr. high everyone was shitting their pants when you could use it with X in mmx6 when he could use it before.

Although necro-threading is normally discouraged, I'm bringing this thread back in the spotlight to inform you guys that Mega Man Online has been cancelled. Which means that the three planned games (MMLegends 3, MMOnline, MMUniverse) are all CANCELLED. So much for a 25th Anniversary.

So are you guys interested in a new Mega Man title anymore? The newest one I remember is Street Fighter X Meg Man which is the free game.

If capcom learned to shut the fucking fuck up before announcing game titles when before they fucking make them things like this would not fucking happen.
