Anime and Manga has been with us for decades! What are your favorite anime? Not a fan of anime? Then what's your favorite manga? Hope I'm not repeating this topic...

I love Gundams. Giant robots with angsty teenagers blown the hell out of everything? Yes please.

Chobits and Mononoke.

The first one, despite not being very good, introduced me to anime and to the japanese culture in general (not by watching the anime, basically what i mean is that i did my own research on the side, inspired by the thing) and the second one i consider to be an example of anime not always being forcefully complete and utter shite in anime's technical aspects. Beautiful narrative with elements straight from Japanese folklore, art style reminiscent of ancient japanese drawings, excellent pacing and duration.

I'm going to throw Highschool of the Dead out there too. While I haven't read the manga or watched the anime in depth, I'm a sucker for zombie movies.

Is a list of 10 animes a list of your favorites or just a list of which one you like?

My favorite is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, a manga with alpha males much like Fist of the North Star, its inspiration. The new anime is fucking manly too, when I saw Joseph Joestar, all I wanted to do was kneel before his art of manliness. All I can say is, here comes the sun. He broke a police man's fucking finger using a fucking coke cap. A FUCKING COKE CAP.

God, this isn't even half of it.

Ya, Princess Mononoke is brilliant. I haven't really watched much anime at all, but most of my friends do. As a result when I have asked for recommendations, they've always steered me towards something I've liked. Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Afro Samurai. Then there are the Ghibli movies, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

Actually, Tuor, he's talking about the series, Mononoke.

I think we can all agree that the Studio Ghibli films are amazing, though.

The music's pretty funky too. I keep forgetting I should watch the new Jojo anime.

I'm not sure I like anime as much as manga since the anime seems to screw up the manga a lot. With that in mind Oh My Goddess is my favorite manga. It is hilarious, holds great character design, and retains a good plot that actually makes sense and is easy to explain (for once).

why is liking naruto attributed to trolls and/or trolling?

i personally think the manga finally picked back up and i can actually look forward to release day again, bleach is just ichigo being a fricken blue mage have everything. d gray man is okay right now, but it updates so slow... but deadman wonderland is back after just over a year hiatus and that's awesome. soul eater should of released today, don't know whats wrong. the only other manga i actively keep up with is Kodomo no Jikan, but it has announced to series will be wrapped up in 2 more chapters :(

Because it hasn't been enjoyable (except in a so bad it's good kind of way) to anyone who's watched more than couple anime in a nearly a decade yet it still continues to be released. We also expect this as par for the course in Naruto.

well the manga has got it's act together lately and as stated, has once again been worth checking updates for. it's been slowly im proving for a little while now and i feel that if trend continues, you might change your mind.

(their current improvement do not in any way excuse the long desert of bore it had for a while, but i can either hold a grudge or be thankful they finally took note of their fan base dropping and tried again).

EDIT: loled at that gif so hard, it hurt to laugh that much, if it doesn't stop soon i'll file charges for assault

I actually love the Naruto manga, but not a big fan of the anime. I'm so big of a Naruto manga fan that I have all the manga up to 50 (been kinda broke, but will continue updating my collection soon!) and I've been buying the manga since 2004! I'm also starting to get the Bleach and Yu-Gi-Oh! mangas, and soon Hellsing!
