I really enjoyed what they did with a very druidic character and the great scenes he got.

I'm happy Radagast is portrayed well, I was worried he was just going to be done comically or something
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

I heard it was just that they were including information relevant to The Hobbit's backstory that was in the appendices of LotR

The moment he revealed the blade to Gandalf pretty much was the nail in the coffin for that.

at first i was worried when i saw how they portrayed him, but then saw him    hare-sledding   . Big thumbs up for me. :0)

Incidentally, the never-seen and rarely mentioned blue wizards' names are Alatar and Pallando.

They went to Middle-Earth's equivalent to Africa I guess? :I

Ya, Africa/Middle East, kinda.

They're hardly mentioned at all, we pretty much know nothing about them except that they went over there, that they never returned, and they probably failed the task given to them.

Saw it at the midnight release with some friends. It was as fantastic as it could be. Hate that I got to wait, but I'm eagerly awaiting the next ones.

I did like that this one had a bit more in the way for funny moments too, though my friends are sure that it'll get more serious from here.

Where in the story does this movie end?

I only have one problem with the movie. The entire time I was there, I kept wishing that Lord of the Rings could have been that good.

Just got back from seeing it. Loved it. Well adapted.
   Loved the Bunny sled~

Also when Galadriel and Gandalf are having that setting sun talk I couldn't stop thinking of the "Now Kiss~" meme.
