Yeah, I hope so.

I'm planning on trying it today.

Might be weird.

So what, it's not like I have anything to lose.

Then again, folks might think you're being an attention-whore by putting emphasis on your problems, thus letting them to think less of you and ultimately losing more face. Oh the possibilities...

Welp, good luck :)

You know what.

I'm just going to prove to them that I'm different.

Do as much community service and volunteering work as possible, until they realize that I'm not a nut.

I am better. I am.

Strange how I am in this thread more for my cat than for myself.

This is the therapy thread and animal care-taking therapy advice is like a type of therapy. Or something.. screw the semantics!

My precious Angela's front right leg wrist(?) joint is bent in the opposite direction than what it is typically. Upon my attempting to gently move it back she cried in pain. It is clear that that the area is either twisted, sprained or in the worst case broken. She shall be taken to the Vet tomorrow. My question is "how freaked out about this should I be?" and "Do I need to anything out of the norm to ensure it does not get worse?"

Well…does she walk on it at all? If she does, does it appear to hurt her when she does that?

She has been trying to walk on it here and there and it is quite apparent that it indeed hurts her. She's been limping and all that.

sounds like she broke it somehow and that was a very bad idea on your part to try to bend it back, sheesh. she'll be fine, it'll have to be set and she'll have a cast or something.

I was being gentle and was trying to see if she had a cut in the leg or if it was her actual wrist bone that was causing her to walk in such a way.

Annnd my mother has made the authoritative decision to "just watch it" for a few days. Hmm.

But thanks for the bits of advice and what not.

Needs to be seen ASAP, your mom doesn't want the bill but the bill will just be worse if you wait, or you're risking permanent damage.

Well it would seem that by "watch it for a few days" she meant watch it Thursday and Friday so that we can take her to the Vet Saturday. That or she made that up after I informed her of your collective opinions of the situation. She somewhat trusts/listens to you guy's opinions on stuff like this after Ruff Draft helped us avert a computer problem.

In the mean time I have been carrying Angela to her litter box and her food dish every 6 hours. Sometimes earlier if she calls out to me.

Edit - scratch whatever the hell part of that. She is taking her today.

Wow that escalated.

Wrist is either a sprain or a ripped/torn tendon.

Upon x-ray my cat, being a cat, bit one of the vets/handlers. This brought up the question of did she have rabies shot? She did not due to her being too sick to take one every time we took her to the vet. Law requires that she be quarantined from other animals for 10-15 days or until absence of rabies is proven. Took only a night to prove that she doesn't have it, but they want her to be quarantined still but we only have her as a pet and haven't had her go outside for obvious reasons.

Also the x-ray showed that she may have a tumor on her kidney. They have given her a shot for that.

Currently she is resting in my bed with a Vet given pain patch.

Thanks for the advice/assistance.

She was probably irritable from being in pain for days so don't think ill of her for it. How old is she?

Took a bit for me to figure out the exact number. She is 16.5 human years old.
