sounds like she broke it somehow and that was a very bad idea on your part to try to bend it back, sheesh. she'll be fine, it'll have to be set and she'll have a cast or something.

I was being gentle and was trying to see if she had a cut in the leg or if it was her actual wrist bone that was causing her to walk in such a way.

Annnd my mother has made the authoritative decision to "just watch it" for a few days. Hmm.

But thanks for the bits of advice and what not.

Needs to be seen ASAP, your mom doesn't want the bill but the bill will just be worse if you wait, or you're risking permanent damage.

Well it would seem that by "watch it for a few days" she meant watch it Thursday and Friday so that we can take her to the Vet Saturday. That or she made that up after I informed her of your collective opinions of the situation. She somewhat trusts/listens to you guy's opinions on stuff like this after Ruff Draft helped us avert a computer problem.

In the mean time I have been carrying Angela to her litter box and her food dish every 6 hours. Sometimes earlier if she calls out to me.

Edit - scratch whatever the hell part of that. She is taking her today.

HUZZAH!
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Wow that escalated.

Wrist is either a sprain or a ripped/torn tendon.

Upon x-ray my cat, being a cat, bit one of the vets/handlers. This brought up the question of did she have rabies shot? She did not due to her being too sick to take one every time we took her to the vet. Law requires that she be quarantined from other animals for 10-15 days or until absence of rabies is proven. Took only a night to prove that she doesn't have it, but they want her to be quarantined still but we only have her as a pet and haven't had her go outside for obvious reasons.

Also the x-ray showed that she may have a tumor on her kidney. They have given her a shot for that.

Currently she is resting in my bed with a Vet given pain patch.

Thanks for the advice/assistance.

She was probably irritable from being in pain for days so don't think ill of her for it. How old is she?

Took a bit for me to figure out the exact number. She is 16.5 human years old.

*eye twitch*

Blood work and X-ray results came in.

Cancerous modules or nerdules or whatever the hell appear to be on her lungs. They can't do surgery on her because she is too weak. An ultra sound can be done to verify if they are indeed cancerous or not but since chemo therapy would be the only solution I agree with my mother's decision to wait it out.

They may give her another shot for her leg in a couple weeks but I have no idea what it's supposed to do.

Also the pain patch has been making her loopy-ish. Her eyes are constantly wide and she has been meowing for reasons I cannot verify but I guess due to pain.

...

I really don't want her to die...

Edit - But all goods things must meet their end eventually. So its whatevs. I'll cross that sad river when I reach it.

it's a tough decision to make, but yeah at her age chemo just isn't really worth it. just hope she has quite some time left before she doesn't have any quality of life.

:D

I'm not so crazy anymore.

I actually caught the kids lighting the dog shit outside my door.

Well, not me. Someone else did. I watched them get yelled at.

Someone defended me. Hah, I didn't know how that felt like, before. It feels sort of nice.

But I prefer being the defender, anyway.

Gah.

The aforementioned sad river quickly approaches.

She has been taken care of paw and foot for the past week or so. Up until the last 5 days she had been eating, drinking and going to the litterbox on her own.

At this point she is a fuzzy immobile piss-scented breathing being on the floor. She is breathing but she isn't really alive, when any of us touch her she hisses. It's clear that she is suffering and pretty much miserable.

Her final vet appointment has been made for tomorrow.

She will be missed.

I'm sorry, man. Losing a family pet always sucks. I know that pain

God damn, True.

I'm so sorry.

At least she had a caring family, with her. That's all you can ask for, in the end.

It's always painful, losing a family member.
