Next weekend? I will be mostly done with school! I have a performance exam on Friday that I should pass, but past Friday, I shall relax immensely. I am not worried about my finals.

how'd you do with classes for next semester?
nearly all of my needed classes were already full and waitlisted to about 1-3 people by the time I could sign up which I did on the minute

12 units, all the classes I need.

And a lower tuition No thanks to you *glare*. I kid.

oh yeah I know I expected it to pass anyways, I agree with the money but having such restrictions on how it's spent is stupid as it inhibits flexibility, but I would've voted for it if I thought the result was in doubt

Also I got 11 units if I can get in all the waitlisted courses, there's a max of 13 I can sign up for until the 17th (then it's 17 I can sign up for) and I don't have any 2 credit courses to go for (if they even exist) to get up to 13. Part time status won't be any good, but I'll be able to pay for it with my own money and I suppose it'll make the Accounting course I have to take more manageable. People should have to rush to get into the electives of their choice, not core classes critical to the advancement of their degree.

Right? I hate that about college. Sometimes the unit system is so skewed to not be in your favor, and then they're trying to punish students who don't graduate in 4 years in the CSU system now. Ridiculous.

I don't know why it was so much worse this time than other times
Before I was able to get into my classes just fine per my being prepared to sign up instantly (excepting one system glitch that prevented me from getting into Chemistry and by the time they fixed it it was too late for me to have a chance)

But I didn't even get a chance this time around
Maybe there's more people in the dorms now or something (they get priority registration)
Still. Dumb. But I guess it's their own fault they won't get full time tuition from me now and now I know to torrent textbooks.

Genius! I like the physical feel of textbooks actually, and since I am only doing major courses now, I want to actually keep the books.

What are units?

Just sort of credit in a way. You didn't have it in high school?

Roughly speaking in university they should be about equivalent to the time you spend in class - so an elective that meets two times a week is about an hour and a half, so that's 3 units. However, at least for my science courses with their labs, you tend to get proportionally less units for that stuff even though you're spending a lot more time in class.

So, they're blocks of time?

I've gone through this before. It is about doing the proper stretches and some painkillers to get through it.

A few stretches to try is to find a place to elevate yourself so you can stretch your spine out. Another is putting your legs as close as you can and try to touch your toes, then rise up slowly. And the last I was told of was to follow up with some side to side twists. It's what helped me when I was injured on the job.
