Red Dead is definately one of my top favorites, though I can't decide if it's THE best rockstar game.

The dreamcast and sega had alot more going against it than just putting out a less powerful console. Sony is and isn't dying, Sony's problem is that they refuse to restructure. If they'd restructure it'd actually move the company back into being more competitive. Sony and MS are both definitely going to bring firepower. The resources Kinect needs alone is enough for them to make a powerful console let alone the next gen version. Sony is going for firepower because they want a system that can help sell their tvs. That's not also talking about what these next gen engines are going to require plus I'm really pulling for some advanced AI. I'd be fine if the next gen of games didn't get 4K resolution but I really want more power for smarter AI.

Portal 2 is definitely up there but I just prefer RDR a bit more.

I think the ending of John's story in RDR is just a bit more satisfying to me.

Crum, for you.

RDR was probably once of the best Western anything ever. Great characters, good gameplay, a solid storyline, everything cool about the Wild West.

Why does it not surprise me that you couldn't find some beavers? They were by the river on the west side of New Austin.

But I'll remember to check again next time

Whatis, you sure know how to treat an absurdist~

So yeah. I was telling Tuor about it and I figure I might as well tell you.

So there's this girl and I'm about 74% sure she likes me. The issue comes from the dating thing. I am, and have been completely broke. It's why I'm spending Christmas alone in Fresno.

Well, when Prop 30 passed in California it guaranteed CSU students a $250 refund. Which is great, I could use that money. Last Wednesday I get this wondrous email that says:

Quote:
Dear Crum,

Your refund has been released by your school and is now pending. Higher One processes pending refunds daily. Once your refund is processed you will receive the ACH in 2-3 business days depending on the policies of your bank.

Awesome! So my refund will be directly deposited in my account in a couple days from Wednesday. So Friday passes, no refund...

Monday passes, still none.

Today passes, I still do not have that much needed $250. So I check my student portal.

And I have a "No Financial Aid Refund" hold on my account. So I click the details and I get this:

Quote:
"Refund of excess monies on your account can not be processed until the Financial Aid Office reviews your account."

Well fuck you too Financial Aid.

Look around the rail road camp area or up by the river in the northern plains.

Damn, family can't even give you enough money so you can take a train or bus back home?

Pretty much everyone I know who's played it has enjoyed it. I played it for a couple hours at a friend's house. Only did one mission, I spent most of the time just creating havoc GTA style.

i'll probably check out RDR at some point
maybe borrow it from a friend
games rarely maintain my interest, though, these days

also in terms of christmas, i told my boss i have no problems working christmas eve, christmas day, boxing day, whatever

just so long as i get new years eve off

and probably new years day, for the sake of everyone else

did i ever tell you guys about the time i was throwing up at work because i had to be in there at 12 noon and i was at a party the night before until like 8AM

i got there for 1PM, so i was an hour late. they weren't happy. i worked for about 2 hours without problem, probably because most of the substances hadn't left my system yet. then while i was pouring some bloke a pint i had to just stop halfway through and run out the back door to throw up down the drain.

every new person to join the pub since this incident has been told about it by the boss as a "don't do this" story.

hahaha that was funny.

My mom has been out of work recently, and I've decided that they really can't pay for my own financial misgivings. I'm the reason I'm broke, so being alone on Christmas is my punishment.

That's still kind of fucked up.

Oh Male, West Elizabeth not New Austin, my mistake.

they're adults
if they want to help you then let them, they can make their own choices

because really your punishment isn't to teach yourself a lesson it's to have an excuse to make yourself feel bad

either way you're an adult too so it's your choice just the same

I'm slightly sick and it sucks. It's not much, but having this nose is just not pleasing to have at all right now.
