@Stuff: I think it was good. It showed that Pinkie Pie is more than just an out-of-control party animal. Plus there were a lot of amusing bits here and there, like the G3 face and fingers.

Well, that's pretty much where I was going with the people who hate her. I mean, I wouldn't say I HATED it. But it's definitely in my below picks.

The episode was far from pointless imo. I can understand how people can find Pinkie to be annoying (though personally I love her randomness), however the episode was more to the point of having Pinkie learn to accept who she really is and that it is important to do things in moderation. Put in different words, attempting to do everything resulted in the negative part of Pinkie's character to shine which gives depth to her that she has a flaw for her to notice.

Not at all. The series is still primarily comedy and the episode was pretty funny.

For the record I for one really liked that episode.

Pinkie wanted to be with all her friends round the clock and found a way to do that. She risked the mists of Everfree to find the solution! (Not that this means much as far as I can tell.)

Then, when faced with the possibility of losing her friends and the reality of how much her clones were making her friends suffer she became strongly depressed. (I'm surprised her hair didn't "deflate")

When she had a chance at redemption she went full throttle and stared at that drying paint like nopony has ever done before!

Then there was the letter to Celestia which I can't seem to remember but I know it had something to do with wanting to be there for your friends always but being physically incapable.

   I rather liked Trixie's redemption in the end. Takes a lot to admit that you're wrong.

They missed a really great opportunity by not having that peddler voiced by James Hong.

Well, though already mentioned during some conventions, they finally used the term "Alicorn"

   They really showed Twilight's development. If it was before, she would have broken completely after she lost, but now she could keep calm and try to find a solution. Nice to see Zecora playing an important role in the episode.

When Zecora mentioned six, I thought they would use the elements, but the way the episode played out was much better. Twilight's magic tricks got me there for second.

I would like to know more about the Alicorn amulet and how Trixie knew about it, but again, 22 minutes weren't enough. There really are many powerful artifacts lying around Equestria (mirror pool, and now Alicorn amulet), so it would be neat if they get explained in some form, like the coming guidebook, though I doubt it. Also, now we know at least Pinkie's father is still alive, and his rock farm is still there. Neat detail.

I guess redemption would be the only option fitting of "Friendship is Magic" for Trixie. Hopefully we can see her again.

She already started working on it before the episode based on the episode previews.

That last part about    the farm still being there    I missed. The stream went down and I guess that's when it came up.
