Okay so I've made a note of not really posting in here much for whatever reason, but I don't think this is the sort of thing that I can just deal with without some advice.

Lately I've been, like, ridiculously lonely and restless. I just have this incredible need, right now, to have someone that I can talk to all the time and share my life with and read to and play games with and just be generally cute with. Like, not even in a relationship kinda way. I just really want an awesome best friend and lately I've been kind of upset because a lot of my friends have been away with their lives and I've just been kinda the same and I don't really have anyone to hang out with anymore. This isn't even a thing that was going through my mind until recently, either, because normally I'm completely fine being on my own and I just preferred to be on my own anyway but now I have this need to socialise with a single person and UGH FUCK

need to socialize is good, it means you're human and have feelings and are aware of your own needs
go out and do stuff, find people and try to genuinely talk to them, participate in shit if you have to, and try spending more time with those you consider important

Well, how I met my closest friend right now was by going to events that I had interest in and people came to. Go to places where people share in your hobbies. It's an easy way to find someone who shares interests with you and hang out. Hobby stores, movie/game places, parties, etc. It's not hard to make friends, but with what you're looking for it might take a little time. You're not gonna have a best friend plop right into your lap. In the meantime, family is a good place to turn if there's something on your mind or there's no one around to spend time with.

Anyway, an update for the uncaring masses or for the silent readers:

I have learned more about the tests upon scheduling them. An MRI, an EEG and last but not least a sleep deprivation test.

The last one might be part of the others, I have no idea, but it requires me to have only 4 hours of sleep the night before and I have to be 100% awake for 6 hours before the appointment. Since the appointment is at 7:15 I can sleep 9PM-1:30AM and then stay awake until the appointment. All I can say is holy shit.

I broke up with my girlfriend. She lied about my favorite jacket and cheated on me with three different people, two of which were girls, at a small Halloween party she was throwing.

And I thought we were doing pretty alright, though there were rumors about her 'hanging out with other guys', which I shrugged off as 'I'm not about to be that boyfriend' or 'so what if she's got more guy friends, I have more lady friends'.

Possibly, best case scenario you'd expect a significant other to be understanding, but you're 15. So there's that. You can't really expect much from relationships at that age. I understand that it can suck though, I was in a similar situation, although I saw how discontented she was at me not wanting to have sex and pre emptively broke up with her. Just be aware of how girls at your age can be really fickle. How long did you know this girl before you started going out with her and how well did you know her?

She sounds a bit crazy. Just because she's crazy for a legitimate reason doesn't mean she's any less crazy. Rape victims aren't automatically going to swear off sex forever. In fact sometimes the response can be to be quite promiscuous.

See, if I had a girlfriend who'd "cheat" on me with another girl... I think that, strangely enough, I'd be okay with it. Is that strange of me?

Of course in your case, I think you did the right thing. Also don't beat yourself up over it. Don't lose your will to look for a better one. And keep in mind what Tuor said about relationships for people in your age.
