This Week's artist's was submited by Joker-Undead

Yasushi Nirasawa (韮沢 靖, Nirasawa Yasushi?, August 26, 1963-) is a Japanese illustrator, character designer, and model maker born in Tochio, Niigata Prefecture. His first works were as the conceptual artist for the film Space Truckers and the set design of Vampire Hunter D. He is also credited for designing the Phantoms in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. His more known works are the character designs for the Undead for the Kamen Rider Series Kamen Rider Blade. He was then brought onto the Godzilla: Final Wars team to design Gigan and the X Aliens featured in the film. He also designed the Horrors of GARO, the Worms of Kamen Rider Kabuto, and the Imagin of Kamen Rider Den-O. In 2009, he was brought onto the productions of Kamen Rider Decade, the Cho-Den-O Series, and Kamen Rider G in designing the Paradoxa Undead, the Alligator Imagin, the villains Goludora and Shilubara, and the Phylloxera Worm, respectively. His designs for the various Kamen Rider Series productions are published in UNDEAD GREEN BLOOD, GITAI, and SAY YOUR WISH.

Heh, when I saw that first monster, I immediately had to think of Final Fantasy: Spirits Within... I really liked that movie

The first picture is a rough design for one of the aliens for a Sega-Satarn horror-game called Deep-Fear.

A lot of the style designs reminds me of the Guyver anime.

You guys remember the version of Gigan that Bleedman did for Griddles some time ago?

I believe it's the intricate details, They look almost like organic armor. And that's the Gigan from Final Wars too right? that was an awesome flick.

I've never seen that movie, but I heard it is good. Anyway, I've noticed that the version that Bleedman did here look's like a mix of the classic 70's version and the Nirasawa version.

Yasushi Nirasawa is a huge inspiration to me and my own artwork.
