Pitch it!
As in sell it? Make it seem appealing? Okay, sure.
So get this, Next generation, except this time there isn't an entirely new zone to explore. Instead; you get every zone available, but interconnected. You can choose where you want to start, and when you finish said zone you can move on to the next; except the Pokemon and trainers you encounter will be somewhat scaled to your level to prevent it from being too easy. The zones will be excessively streamlined to prevent tediousness of playing 6 separate Pokemon games back to back, so instead of 8 Gyms then Pokemon leagues, each of 5 zones have 2 Gyms. Preferably at each half. (The halves mind you, are already considerably shorter now due to streamlining.)
Once you have all 10 badges, you move on to the League in each zone, also growing stronger after each gym you defeat, the final gym allowing you to go to some kind of Intercontinental battle tower to go to the final battle(s).
By the time your are done with all of this, you Pokemon would have comfortably and naturally leveled up to around 80-85. The post game would be the usuals; Battle Tower, Mini Games, Multiplayer etc. With the new Wii-U touchpad capabilities, it would be second nature to control this game well.
Now here's the kicker to prevent this from being any 'combine all Pokemon games' pitch. As I said from the get-go, this isn't a generation in that there is a new zone- but there WILL be new Pokemon. As each Professor from each zone sent you out to research new Pokemon in each individual game, they made considerable breakthroughs in their Pokemon research and discovered new strains of Pokemon discovered in very isolated parts of each zone. Such as the Vanishing Isles from Hoenn for example.
Artificial Pokemon, such as Mewtwo and Ditto would be researched and learned from, perhaps resulting in more artificial steel, fire and poison types being introduced. New fossil Pokemon found of this new golden age of Exploration- all supported by the extended memory of console games over handheld games.
As for the story of such a game: I think it would have something to do with a new type of technology that would make it quick, efficient, cheap and easy to travel. Such as the S.S.Super Anne or something. Maybe a giant intercontinental Railroad, resulting in a new age of travel and vacation.
Along the way you will probably meet up with Team (Insert) who wants to do (Something Questionable) so you have to stop them along the way. Perhaps meeting several characters along the way, such as Red and N among other famous singular characters.
Hows that sound?
