Lullaby for a Princess - really beautiful song. The voice suits Celestia very well, and the lyric is quite touching.

Well its time for another fic update. Mostly I just want to talk about this one story I read just the other day because I can't get it the frak out of my head.

Wrong Side of the Glass: Despite the Sad tag here I thought the fic wasn't sad so much as melancholy and deep in a way. It's very similar to Memories of Those Friends Who've Gone Before Us in terms of tone if a great deal more punchy in it's message. It's essentially the story of that old bald stallion from Read It And Weep. It shows his life and the choices and mistakes he's made in sad bitter detail as he stands at the very edge of his life. The message of the story is very plainly that you only have one life and you don't get any second chances. I won't say any more than that at the risk of spoiling it, but when that ending hits it really hits hard. Comparable to Story of an Hour as told from the male perspective for that matter. Excellent bit of short fic absolutely worth reading, though admittedly not for everyone.

The other thing I've been reading is our very own J-Dude's Black Equinox. It certainly took me long enough. I've only read the first three chapters so far and it's pretty good. For those of you who haven't taken a look yet, its the story of an automated weapons manufacturing and testing facility that gets dropped wholesale into the middle of the Everfree Forest. I'll admit that I had some problems with the first two chapters it's getting interesting with the introduction of what I believe to be the main villain/antagonist of the piece. If you guys like HiE you might want to check this one out, other wise it's pretty give or take at this point until I read more.

J-Dude if you'd like a more thorough overview I'd be more than happy to. Just let me know and I'll be on it.

you mean in Windows Movie Maker? you go to the area that says "File Edit View Tools", etc. and click Tools. in the drop down menu, click Audio Levels. adjust it all the way to Audio/Music.

i swear i've been just lurking on this thread for the longest time, need to fix that...
