When going into the second one, I would probably advise against commenting on it. Had to do a bit of research into things they said which prove to be lies and also a response from Tim on his actual youtube account prior to that video's upload lead me to believe they are trying to bait Bronies into looking bad.

I sort of wonder what these people would say if they didn't just see the idea of bronies watching this show as wrong, but saw us getting together to make great works of art, masterpieces of music, animations and games abound, and even start fundraisers to help starving and orphaned children. Even raising money for people like dear young Kiki Grieffon posted about earlier... I don't know many fandoms that do that. I want to know how they'd react then.

Nothing would change. Because they will never see it. They will never bother to see it. We can be the only fandom in existence to make our own music, our own animations, games, cons and charities, they won't care. They will only see us as the only fandom in existence that fap to cartoon horses. Ignorance is the ultimate form of idiocy, because they don't listen, ever.

A sad truth... But it is nice to see from time to time people rise up above such idiocracy and, even if they aren't fans, see how we're not a bunch of perverted and twisted basement dwellers. Even in that darkest hour, I'll have hope for people because I've seen these number of individuals go "stop" and see the important things. The things that need to be seen. The things that make us love the show to begin with and why it's even on the radar to begin with.

All in all, I know what the fandom is all about and that media just want to get a rise for ratings. The only reason I honestly bring up something like that is if they want to put down a group that is genuinely good, then they do not deserve further attention from said group. I can actually forgive Howard Stern within an extent because he talks down to everything which makes it easy to shrug off, but Jerry Springer is a better man than Stern and he willingly pulled a stunt like that simply because we said no is unforgivable.

You do have a point there. I always loved Howard as a kid. Watched his show, listened to him on the radio, etc. It's just what he does, so I can forgive him too, even if it hit a bit close to home.

But Springer is indeed supposed to have something of a reputation. I've never been a big fan, but this is the first time I've heard him pull something like this. Even if I don't like his show, I always thought he was an alright fellow. *sigh*

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've been following the situation with some moderate interest since PT stepped down as the chair of Bronycon. I don't have all the details but it seems the main issue is between PT and some former Bronycon staff members who went on to found Canterlot Gardens. Honestly I can't be sure if the CG people actually wronged her or she is just holding a grudge, but I'm leaning towards Tinker's side at the moment. Either way I'm not worried about. The spat is between a few big name con organizers and that's it. It's not going to consume the community and tear it apart. Every community will have it's problems and this is no exception. Just relax and let things work themselves out. The show will roll on just as always, and so will the cons when they roll around next year. It will take a lot more than this to really shake the community.

Wait... That was a big deal? I thought she was just a con goer that got some slander thrown out about her. A popular Tumblrpon name was blogging about it, and supposedly is a part of the drama. Recently too, her original blog was deleted as well. If it's related to all this drama, no one knows.

All of this though, I'm just not going to bother with thinking about it after this. I can admit that a person does have the right to be pissed off about being chased out of a con for slander and attempted murder... But like... seriously? I can't make heads or tails of who's right or who's wrong. But PT isn't doing a good job about convincing people. She is however getting way more hate than she should be. I feel she's one of those people that got caught in this hate train that just keeps building and building because she doesn't know how to deal with it all, and it's getting to her.

Also... um... newest update on the matter? If that's not an insult... Just, wow.

And now I'm done with this forever.
