dude, Kha'zix is fuckin' dope.
Every level of his ult lets you perma-upgrade one of his skills, so at 18 you have only one skill not perma-upgraded
from my impression of him, you want his W and E done fast, but then you have to decide on Q or R
his passive means every time he leaves the enemies' LOS, he gains a bonus damage slow to his next attack.
his Q is a short range targeted damage hit that does more when the target is alone. powerful gank tool for mid and top.
evolving his leap E gives him bigger range and makes it reset on kills/assists, like Tristana's rocket jump, so it's likely best to get that first for mobility
his W is a tiny line damage nuke that sucks in its normal mode but when evolved is huge and penetrates targets. farms super strong when evolved, because it can utilize his passive's bonus damage
This relationship to the passive in your W is why you have to choose between R and Q to evolve.
evolved Q gives him an execute: 12% of their missing health in damage, so the lower their health, the more damage you do.
evolved R lets him turn invisible 3 times instead of two, and take less damage while invisible, and resetting his passive's bonus damage
so if you need better AOE and want to end the game quick, evolve the R and use the extra invisibility to charge your W an extra time. You have to space out your activation, though, because of CDR
IMO that option is kinda a gamble, because if you stretch into late game any team that isn't stupid is going to use pink wards/oracles to shut down your w + passive interaction (unless you are really good at using corners and brush)
but if you want an execute, which is more reliable and useful for protracted fights on say, the enemy carry, then you evolve the Q.
So you either gamble a rush victory through massive AOE mobility, or play it safe by evolving his three basic abilities.
if anyone has any arguments on the W or E not being upgraded, I'd be interested in it, but I'm fairly set on it, and super pumped.
definitely getting him day 1 and going to zerg the shit out of everyone.
