I would have killed nine-tenths of my school for a java class.

I got offered a job at UPS tonight. I can apparently get into their union if I take it before November and work for thirty days before holidays start.

Good news everyone. I made 100 dollar working a two hour soccer game.

Won an archery tournament a few days ago. Was gonna say it sooner but was busy with school and shit. Plus, no one here would really care about it anyways

I always wanted to take up archery. I did it a few times when I was a scout but I could never afford to buy one at that age and I lived in an overly protective family.

$100 in two hours is bitchin, Don't make that much in two eight hours shifts where I work now.

Yeah, the sheer number of benefits I'd get working for UPS is too great to turn down.

Your family was that protective to not let you do archery? I heard that archery was one of the sports with the least injuries. Then again, I guess no one really knew that.

My family was that protective that they didn't let me around anything weapon-like.

Don't complain. I had to do fencing for most of my youth, up until I finished primary school.

I learned two things in these several years.

Hitting people with a sabre is kinda fun.

Getting hit with a sabre is not. Also painful as hell for a kid, even with the protective clothes.

I did quite prefer archery. Probably one of my favourite sports. Though to be fair, if you're new and don't know how to hold the bow properly, you can really hurt yourself with the string. So your parents did have a point.

I remember my first (and only) run in with archery. I think it was... fourth grade? Maybe? Anyway I sucked out loud. 10 misses, 1 hit and 1 bullseye separately so like 15% accuracy.

I remember one time I got pissed and walked to the target and pushed it down so it was flat on the ground. I walked away to my starting position and shot the arrow straight into the air like in one of my games. (So many things could have gone wrong.)

But I actually hit it.

It felt awesome, but I haven't touched archery since. Probably because to this day I know I could have accidentally brained someone that day.

The only reason it's special to me is because Valve's just nearby.

And Bungie. Both of them located in Bellevue, Washington. I'd take Valve any day though.

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to say about the game programming class, it used to be somewhat separate from the Java classes but they started to integrate it into the Java classes. Recently, I felt I was not sure If I'm really interested in the Game Programming class; If I'm late to my Zero Hour class just once, the $100 that would be spent for it would have gone down the drain.

I'm just saying it'd pretty amazing you have a game programming class in highschool.

Good news! Just came back from my outing to the Giants game here. They lost, but great fun was had. We haven't spent time like that together in years, so it was nice to catch up. Also... this made my day... they started playing "It's not unusual" in the stadium, and then near the end of the song they focused on a man... This man was this man. He came to the game dressed as Carlton this time and I just have to give this man a medal for making me laugh.
