Snafu: "Good news everyone!" Thread

As a mirror to Stuff's Therapy thread I've decided to make a good news thread.

Here you can feel free to talk about anything good that may have happened in your life today. Same manner of respect should hopefully be awarded here as in the therapy thread with no comments such as 'cool story bro' or other nonsense like that.

Please note while we all appreciate you wanting to talk about that awesome new porn you found lets save that for the inevitable pron thread. :p

Good news.

My cat has been taken to the vet twice in the past two days.

The blood work has yet to be fully analyzed but everything seems mostly fine right now.

Good news.

This is kinda pointless... when good things happen you simply say them and people are like ah ok cool i guess im glad or whatver

the point of the therapy thread is to not have bawling and emoness all over the place.

"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Dave has responded. Something like a week now, and we'll have ZoulArt rebuilding the forums from the ground up, with new features and better tools.

I think that's good news.

Yes, I want you and Dark Dragon to help Zoul along so he isn't the only person doing stuff. He can teach you things, I would assume that's worthwhile! :O

I think that's good news.

That's the best damn news I've heard all year. Funny it happened the day after I finally ended up sending my 'Get your ass back to Snafu-Comics and fix everything' email.

But yes, everyone spamming their asses off to Dave has finally gotten this forum back on the right track, no? I'm sure huzzas are in order. I'll start.

Huzzah!

I have a classmate in my Intro to Java class who is in one of the special projects group. He introduced the class this game he made called Morbus, which requires CounterStrike Source 1.6 and Garry's Mod to play. He announced that his game was starting to get popular, mainly because of it getting some exposure via YouTube and it looked fun and awesome.

This is good news to me because not only will my Senior year in high school be fun, I also have this guy as one of my classmates as somewhat of a role model for the Java students.

Also, Valve field trip confirmed for the Java class. If I manage to get my Algebra 4 credit made up in a Zero Hour class before the second semester, I can change my schedule back and be in Game Programming again, which I'm thinking is the class where the field trip would start.

Edit: Here's Morbus. I was surprised to see it as the first result when I just searched the name alone. He also said that the game's players grew from 30 players to 500, and it made the servers lag. I wish the best of luck to him because I really wish I could play this game. It's a free mod, and like I said, it requires CS Source 1.6 and Garry's Mod.

Wow, you must go to a fancy highschool.

Heck no. All the old teachers in my school don't seem to know what they're talking about anymore or they're just getting tired of their jobs. Maybe both. Majority of them have been teaching in the same school for decades, some since the establishment of the school. One teacher I had tends to pause for a bit when teaching and her eyes were baggy. She's practically live evidence of what I said in this post.

With teachers like this, I don't even know how my high school is better than the others in its district.
