Sometimes, I get bored.
When I'm bored, I tend to be inspired.
To write, to slack off, to eat. Whatever.
Of course, the quality of inspiration tends to vary. A lot.
But the point of all this is that I'll be posting up a few of those inspirations here now and then instead of just stashing them inside my Tumblr account.
Because I can.

The Angel and The Farmer Boy
There lived a farmer boy. He was a simple person. He tended to his own needs as necessary every day. Whether it was to sow his farm, to feed the animals, or to repair his house, he did it all with discipline and quickly. His farm was small, hardly anything more than a garden. His animals were few, a group of only two chickens, one cow, and one lamb. His house was nothing more than a shack, built out of old, dry wood stuck together with dirt and wet clay dried in the sun. He led a hard life but one which sustained him. Thus was the life of the farmer boy.
Up in the clouds above, an angel watched over this young man with curiosity. She often wondered when she looked down from the heavens, "Why would a man work so hard every day?". The concept of struggle was a riddle to her, one which she served but had no knowledge of as a resident of paradise itself. As time passed, the question was all she could ever think off. Eventually, she realised that the only way to resolve this dilemma was to simply obtain its answer. So, on the day when the sky was especially cloudy and dark, she slipped away from her brothers and sisters, and descended quietly upon the farmer boy's home.
It was especially dark that day, so the farmer had decided to retire early. Knocks on his door made him woke up and he answered the summons rather hesitantly. What he saw had been beyond what he had expected. His heart and mind was swarmed with a million feelings when he laid eyes on the holy being before him. He immediately knelt down and begged in the light of her beauty. "Have mercy upon me, for I am but a simple farmer," he said the words in almost a whisper, trying his best to stay calm. An angel's visit meant many things; fortune, luck, torment, and despair.
The angel was amused, human beings were an amusing lot. She looked down upon the man, up close this time. The farmer was dressed in simple clothes of straw, bamboo, and cloth. Even the buttons of his vests were crudely carved from wood, and they barely seemed to function proper. His face and skin was dirty and dark from his exposure in early mornings. "My purpose here is simple, I have a question," she spoke with a voice so gentle and sweet, but strong and dignified, that it reminded him of a hurricane. "Why do you work?"
The man was puzzled by such a question, were angels not the all-knowing beings he heard of in the tales he had been told? Much too afraid to question such a powerful being, he gave his best answer. "I work in order to live. In order to survive and tend to my animals and farm, I must work in order to maintain it," he answered with his head still faced towards the floor. Angels were fickle beings, casting even so much as a glance on them was taboo. The angel pondered on his reply for a moment and smiled. Seemingly satisfied with his answer, she lowered her hand towards the ground and touched it, her fingers dancing upon the mud and dirt. The farmer was terrified of what could possibly happen, and could only hope for mercy.
Light pulsed from the holy being's fingertips as it swirled along the dirt, resonating with the life and energies within. Soon, the ground began to turn green and grass broke through the dry, dusty surface. Within moments, flowers had bloomed, and the land became replaced by rich soil and an abundance of flora. The farmer looked up suddenly, but all he saw a light above and heard a fluttering of wings beating against the winds. The light quickly swallowed itself amongst the clouds, and rain fell upon the earth like salvation.
Contemplate. Nothing is ever as they seem.
